    **Responsibilities**

    **SUMMARY -** Responsible for performing patient evaluations, reviewing pretreatment teaching, recommending therapeutic intervention, counseling patients and families and collaborating with appropriate physicians to provide other appropriate direct care interventions within the scope of practice for physician's assistants.     The Acute Care NP or PA performs the following tasks:

    **_The Acute Care advanced practice provider in this position will work on our inpatient general cardiology and post-procedure teams. Common diagnoses encountered on our general cardiology service include acute coronary syndrome, heart failure, arrhythmia, and pericarditis.
