    **Job Description**

    This Fellowship is a 12-month opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to obtain invaluable education and clinical experience in trauma and critical care at Intermountain Medical Center, a level I trauma center located in Murray, Utah.

    Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Fellow will spend the majority of the year with the Trauma Service, a well-established team comprised of trauma surgeons and trauma APPs who have been working collaboratively for over 20 years. Responsibilities include managing trauma patients on the floor and in the Trauma ICU, leading trauma resuscitations and massive transfusion in the trauma bay , completing Emergency Department consultations, and assisting in the operating room. Additional rotations include Pulmonary Critical Care, Neurosurgery, Neuro-Critical Care, Anesthesia and Orthopedics, as well as elective time. The Fellowship also includes didactic and clinical competencies, and a clinical research project culminating in a presentation and abstract for publication.

    The Fellow will function under the medical supervision of advanced practice providers and physicians on their respective rotations, gaining independence as the year progresses. Overnight call shifts will constitute a part of the weekly schedule, to offer ample opportunity for clinical experience and high acuity patients. The Fellow will undergo quarterly evaluations with the Program and Medical Directors.

The role will work almost exclusively in a telehealth setting in Connect Care-Pain Management Services, seeing patients for both new evaluations and providing follow-up care, medication management, and appropriate referral management.

    + Perform patient assessment to obtain a complete and accurate record of the patient's clinical information and medical symptoms.
