**Acute Care Nurse Practitioner:** Masters-prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program. Current AZ RN and APRN license and certification as a ACNP.
**Physician Assistant:** Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and registration as a PA by the AZ State Board of Medical Practice.
**Additional Qualifications:**
Active BLS, ACLS, and RN First Assist certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross at start date and DEA registration required.
+ Excellent verbal, written and oral communication skills.
+ Demonstrated leadership ability.
+ Flexibility to adjust schedule to meet patient and staff needs.
+ Ability to manage time and stress effectively and adapt to unpredictable situations within the patient care setting.
+ Two to five years of clinical experience preferred.

**Banner University Medical Group - Tucson is seeking an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to provide care for inpatient and outpatient services. This position will provide flexible support 50% inpatient & 50% outpatient services.** You will work alongside of our Cardiovascular team and care for our cardiology, cardiac surgery, heart failure, transplant and cardiovascular patients. This is an outstanding opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner with experience and/or new grad with appropriate training to be part of an established comprehensive cardiology program.The qualified candidate will work closely with our team of specialized physicians, nursing staff, case managers and support staff and should be comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
**Work Schedule** : Monday through Friday - Day coverage 8-hour days, rotating weekends and holidays
**Patient Volume:** Outpatient clinic - 16 patients/day; Inpatient: 5-10 patients/day, rounding with CCU and ICU teams.
**Essential Functions and Required Qualifications:**

**Responsibilities**
**Mayo Clinic has an exciting opportunity for an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or a Physician Assistant to join the Hematology/Oncology team. This position's primary role will be in the Immediate Cancer Clinic (our active treatment symptom management clinic) with potential on occasion to rotate to the inpatient Hematology/Oncology consult service.**
The Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or the Physician Assistant has advanced health assessment and decision-making skills, prepared through a formal educational program that meets criteria established by the profession. This individual combines care with aspects of medical care, focusing on the patient as a whole person. The provision of care includes, but is not limited to: comprehensive assessment, ordering, conducting and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescription of pharmacological agents and treatments, and non-pharmacological therapies. Teaching and counseling individuals, families, and groups are an important part of the Advanced Practitioner's role. This individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development of the life span. The ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and appropriately interpret information relative to the patient's age-specific needs is required. The Advanced Practice Provider demonstrates leadership through involvement on committees and team projects, education, and research and actively seeks to improve the practice of nursing through performance improvement initiatives.
In addition to meeting the above requirements, the Acute Care NP or Physician Assistant must meet two to four of the following:
+ Spend at least 50% of days based at the hospital (rounds, service, or shift work)
+ Perform specialized procedure(s)
