Located in the Phoenix Ariz. suburb of Gilbert the Mercy Gilbert Medical Center is a 198-bed not-for profit hospital with more than 1300 employees and almost 900 doctors on staff representing all major specialties. In 2014 Phoenix Children’s Hospital launched a 22-bed pediatric unit inside the hospital. Mercy Gilbert opened in 2006 and has been a vital part of the growing community. Today it is the fifth largest employer in Gilbert. During the fiscal year ending June 30 2016 Mercy Gilbert provided more than $24 million in community benefit. **Responsibilities**
At Dignity Health Mercy Gilbert Medical Center we deliver humankindness through a wide range of health social and support services in the heart of Gilbert, Arizona. As part of our team you will provide clinical expertise; support and oversight that helps ensure our patients receive exceptional care. **ECCO Program-This blended learning course takes a multi-dimensional approach to prepare the experienced RN to the critical care environment. This 12-week critical care training program blends computer based learning with weekly critical care sessions to prepare the RN who is new to the ICU environment to competently care for the critically ill adult patients. Computer modules focus on the fundamentals by providing the theoretical foundation necessary to care for critically ill patients while concurrent classroom sessions bridge the gap between online learning and nursing practice. Learning is reinforced in the clinical setting by preceptors on the units. The program provides a customized orientation plan with designated preceptors with oversight by the critical care educator and the ICU leadership team.**
Expectations:
+ Registered Nurse who shares the same passion for our critically ill patients to coordinate supervise and implement patient care based on competence professional expertise knowledge and evidence-based practice.
+ All Staff Nurses are expected to practice autonomously consistent with professional standards Nurse Practice Act and hospital job description.
+ Assess patient/family health problems and resources taking a leadership role in the development implementation and outcomes evaluation of a plan for nursing care.
+ Provides professional nursing care and interventions to acutely ill adult patient populations.

**Qualifications**
**Minimum:**
+ One year medical/surgical intensive care experience.
+ AZ RN license or RN License from a Compact State.
+ ADN Diploma BSN or Foreign Equivalent..
+ Current American Heart Association BLS card.
+ ACLS certification within six months of hire.
+ Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
+ Basic computer skills.
**Preferred:**
+ Strong cardiac and hemodynamic monitoring intra-aortic balloon pump skills.
+ One year medical/surgical intensive care experience.
+ Professional certification in area of specialty.
+ CCRN
**Pay Range**
$35.00 - $58.63 /hour
