    Overview HonorHealth is looking for a Medical Office Assistant for the Heart and Lung Group, Cardiothoracic Surgery clinic located at N. 92nd St & E. Shea Blvd. There are several roles that work in this fast-paced surgical practice that included Cardiothoracic Surgeons, PAs, NPs, other MOAs, a Lead MOA and a Reg Sched. This service line growing while providing care and instruction for its patients that both pre and post surgical along with providing consultations for cardiothoracic surgical patients. In this role you will work elbow-to-elbow with the Lead doing mostly administrative desk work from obtaining authorizations for surgery and direct communication with the participating hospitals to schedule surgeries. There will be days during the week that include face-to-face patient interaction as well. The ideal candidate must meet the minimum requirements that include a HS diploma/GED, current Basic Life Support (BLS) card and either completion of a Medical Assistant program that meets BOMEX guidelines OR CMA OR RMA OR the completion of a United States Armed Forced medical services training program. Cardio or surgery practice experience would be preferred but not required along with a comfort working with technology and Microsoft Excel would be an asset in this role as well. Experience with prior authorizations is preferred. The hours for this role are Monday - Friday; 8a to 5p with no weekend or travel requirements. Candidates must have one (1) year of MA experience to be eligible for the bonus.
