The Real Estate Technical Services organization of Zions Bancorporation seeks an Appraisal Reviewer - Residential to join the team.
The Appraisal Reviewer - Residential selected for this opportunity will be working within Real Estate Technical Services to support daily operations across multiple teams. This dynamic position will require the successful candidate to be comfortable with change, development of new skills, and consistently being self-driven to balance multiple responsibilities simultaneously within prescribed deadlines. The successful candidate will be a Certified Residential Appraiser required with multi state review experience.
This role is expected to be located within the Bank’s primary lending footprint, but an opportunity may also be considered to report to the new Enterprise Technology Center in Midvale, UT.
Roles and responsibilities include the following:
+ Performs appraisal reviews for compliance with bank policies, federal regulations and USPAP standards.
+ Assures credible assessment of residential real estate values and may make recommendations for corrections/adjustments to appraisal reports.
+ Assists with interpreting, implementing and developing processes and procedures that ensure services comply with appraisal, regulatory and bank policy requirements.
+ Assists with department operations; resolves valuation conditions and addresses requests for reconsideration originating from bank customers.
+ Resolves appraisal disputes and/or appraiser/client complaints.
+ May order appraisals, follow up on appraisals, maintain independence between loan and appraisal departments, and give proper instructions to appraisers.
+ Monitors costs to ensure reasonable pricing.
+ Monitors appraiser performance to make sure deadlines and customer service standards are met.
+ May train and lead lower level support staff.
+ Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
+ Requires a college degree in business, finance or a related field
+ 4+ years working experience with residential real estate appraisals, reviews, evaluations methods, processes and procedures or other directly related experience and/or directly related residential appraisal and residential review education.
+ A combination of education and experience may meet job requirements.
+ Certified Residential Appraiser required.
+ Capable of obtaining multiple appraisal licenses in states, where needed.
+ Extensive working knowledge of residential real estate valuation methods and techniques.
+ Strong working knowledge of residential review requirements.
+ Residential appraisal review experience across multiple states
+ Must have strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, both verbal and written.
+ Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
+ Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with staff, bank management and clients.

**PRIMARY PURPOSE** **:** To inspect, identify, and evaluate auto vehicles involved in a loss.

+ Appraises and determines costs of repairs to damaged vehicle in the field; determines repair versus replace and parts utilization.
+ Evaluates and determines if the vehicle is repairable or salvageable based on industry standard estimatics software.
