    We are seeking experienced underground wet utility Pipe Layers to join our high performing team!

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The Pipe Layer is responsible for laying pipe for storm or sanitation sewers, drains, and water mains. This positions performs any combination of the following tasks: grade trenches or culverts, position pipe, or seal joints. They also install or use instruments such as lasers, grade rods, or transit levels.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Cut pipes to required lengths
    Connect pipe pieces and seal joints, using welding equipment, cement, or glue
    Cover pipes with earth or other materials
    Install or repair sanitary or stormwater sewer structures or pipe systems
    Align and position pipes to prepare them for welding or sealing
    Check slopes for conformance to requirements, using levels or lasers
    Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations
    Knowledgeable in Blue Stake markings
    Meet production goals from the direction of the site Foreman or Superintendent
    Performs other duties as required and assigned
    Adheres to all DCS Contracting safety policies, procedures, and instructions from management

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    1+ year of construction pipe laying or laborer experience required
    General knowledgeable of OSHA standards and requirements
    Able to work outside in all weather conditions
    Willingness to learn and accept direction from field supervision
    Must be a team player and be willing to help out wherever is needed for the success of the project

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The Underground Laborer is responsible for supporting the underground/wets crews in completing various construction tasks. This position plays a key role in ensuring our projects are built on-time and ahead of schedule!

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Perform general construction labor
    Assist crew members is varies labor tasks, including assisting the foreman and pipe layers with installing water lines, sewer lines, and storm drains
