We are seeking experienced underground wet utility Pipe Layers to join our high performing team!

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Pipe Layer is responsible for laying pipe for storm or sanitation sewers, drains, and water mains. This positions performs any combination of the following tasks: grade trenches or culverts, position pipe, or seal joints. They also install or use instruments such as lasers, grade rods, or transit levels.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Cut pipes to required lengths
Connect pipe pieces and seal joints, using welding equipment, cement, or glue
Cover pipes with earth or other materials
Install or repair sanitary or stormwater sewer structures or pipe systems
Align and position pipes to prepare them for welding or sealing
Check slopes for conformance to requirements, using levels or lasers
Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations
Knowledgeable in Blue Stake markings
Meet production goals from the direction of the site Foreman or Superintendent
Performs other duties as required and assigned
Adheres to all DCS Contracting safety policies, procedures, and instructions from management

QUALIFICATIONS:

1+ year of construction pipe laying or laborer experience required
General knowledgeable of OSHA standards and requirements
Able to work outside in all weather conditions
Willingness to learn and accept direction from field supervision
Must be a team player and be willing to help out wherever is needed for the success of the project
Safety first mindset, MUST stop work if something is unsafe
Reliable transportation and work schedule flexibility
Ability to get the job done with minimal supervision
MUST be reliable and dependable
Must have reliable transportation to and from work shift
Must be able to do physical labor and other strenuous physical tasks

This is a Safety Sensitive position.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Underground Laborer is responsible for supporting the underground/wets crews in completing various construction tasks. This position plays a key role in ensuring our projects are built on-time and ahead of schedule!

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform general construction labor
Assist crew members is varies labor tasks, including assisting the foreman and pipe layers with installing water lines, sewer lines, and storm drains
Move various construction materials, both by hand and utilizing various material transport mechanisms
Engage in preparation work to ready worksite for other crew members to perform defined tasks
Operate motorized equipment including power tools, saws, etc.
Monitor processes, materials, and/or surroundings
Perform functions according to company and OSHA safety guidelines
Clean, inspect and perform routine maintenance of equipment and tools
Load and unload materials, machinery, and tools
Clean and prepare sites to eliminate possible hazards
Meet production goals from the direction of the site Foreman or Superintendent
Adheres to all DCS Contracting safety policies, procedures, and instructions from management
Performs other duties as required and assigned

About the Role: As an Underground Foreman, you’ll lead a crew that’s focused on safety and quality. You’ll be responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Oversee daily operations, ensuring safety standards are met and work is completed on schedule.
Lead your crew in underground utility installations, ensuring the correct materials and tools are used.
Solve problems as they arise, collaborating with the team to keep things moving smoothly.
Conduct safety and quality audits, ensuring the worksite is safe and productive.
Manage schedules, equipment, and materials, and ensure the crew has everything they need to succeed.
Lead Toolbox Talks and maintain logs to track progress and safety.

What We're Looking For:

At least 5 years of experience in underground wet utility construction.
A strong understanding of sewer pipe installation and MAG (Maricopa Association of Governments) specifications.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to read blueprints and project specifications.
Physical Requirements:

You’ll be working outdoors, in various weather conditions.
The job requires physical strength and stamina, including lifting and carrying materials.

The Pipe Layer will perform pipe-laying tasks involving physical labor (laying, joining, wrapping, sealing) on construction jobsites including commercial, industrial, or heavy civil projects; may operate hand and/or power tools as needed; may prepare site and assist with other duties as assigned.
