**Position Description:**

The Project Superintendent (PS) is responsible for managing the construction process for the project. They are assigned the authority to provide daily coordination and direction of the placement of work so that it is safe, within budget, on schedule, to the company's quality standards and to the customer's satisfaction. They are responsible for planning and scheduling activities, organizing trade partners and suppliers, deploying site equipment and interfacing with regulatory authorities. The PS will manage and coordinate the activities of a team of construction professionals consisting of area superintendents, field engineers, quality and safety personnel, craft, and trade partner representatives. This is a safety sensitive position.

**Position Qualifications:**

+ A 4-year degree in civil or structural engineering, architecture, or construction management.

+ Minimum of 10 years supervising field operations for large commercial and/or industrial construction projects, with specific experience in water or wastewater treatment and/or pump station construction.

+ Experience in supervision and self-performance of process piping and equipment.

+ Valid Driver’s License.

+ Strong communication skills.

+ Proficiency in computer software - Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel-based templates, Prolog, Primavera, and AutoDesk Suite.

**Essential Duties:**

+ Safety planning is to be included in all pre-job planning and considered foremost in the daily operations. All project, governmental and company safety regulations and requirements shall be enforced by the PS. The PS, with the support of safety managers, drives Hensel Phelps’ safety culture on the project.

+ The superintendent is responsible for all quality control on the project. The PS works with QC staff and trade partners to ensure the highest level of quality is delivered.

+ The PS is responsible for the development and timely execution of the project schedule. The PS collaborates with project staff and trade partners to develop, update and manage the schedule, and has overall responsibility for job planning and the development of logistics and site utilization plans.

+ Participate in the development of self-work estimates.

+ Jobsite equipment needs are planned and organized by the project superintendent. Maintenance and the safe operation of equipment, including operator certificates and permits, are the overall responsibility of the PS. Company-owned equipment is coordinated with the corporate equipment manager.

+ Develop, coordinate and supervise all company field work personnel on the project. The PS sets expectations, trains and evaluates salaried personnel under their supervision, and is responsible for the hiring, development, performance and coordination of hourly field personnel.

+ Maintain the project control systems to accurately portray current project status and forecast projections. The control systems are used as a guide to identify misalignments and implement a plan for course correction.

+ Develop and maintain relationships with the owner, architect, engineer and trade partners to ensure the highest level of quality and customer service is delivered.

**Compensation** : Constructiv is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The annual salary for this role is $83,700 - $125,000.00. This compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. This role is eligible for variable compensation including short term and long-term incentives.

Position – Arizona Construction Inspector

Technical Responsibilities

+ Prepare reports on project status, problems encountered, and overall results.

+ Knowledge of construction materials, methods, procedures and relevant specifications

+ Inspect material prior to installation and verify appropriate certifications and/or lab reports have been submitted.

+ Perform material sampling and required testing.

+ Direct the contractor to rectify all areas of non-compliance regarding safety, maintenance of traffic and maintenance of site.

The Manager of Construction Operations for G&C and TCI will hold a key leadership role and provide vital daily leadership over multiple teams within the Black & Veatch Construction organization. + Responsible for providing input, revising, and reviewing the development of construction strategy to meet BV Ops Construction Global Strategy

+ Accountable for construction project gross margin, safety, and quality.

+ Responsible for developing yearly budget for assigned department.

+ Accountable for ensuring that BV construction entities have the state and jurisdictional contractor licenses required to execute work.

+ Accountable for the development of complete proposals.

+ As Officer of the construction entity file environmental permits, environmental notices of termination, labor and contract court mandated settlements and other documents.

+ After initial contract signature, approves Power of Attorney requests.

+ Obtain the registration required to act as Financially Responsible Officer for the state of Florida, and other states for the projects in portfolio.

+ Accountable for the development of construction execution plans, construction and commissioning schedules standard operating procedures, construction work packages, and the use of the quality control and assurance processes and procedures for the projects in portfolio.

+ Travels to project sites as required.

**Minimum Qualifications**

+ Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction or equivalent relevant experience.

+ 15 years of construction and/or EPC experience, based on assigned area of operations.
