Roles, Duties, & Responsibilities:

+ Studies and understands project plans, specifications, details, documents, and special provisions prior to starting project.

+ Reviews, analyzes, and discusses the project estimate with the estimator and Project Manager.

+ Performs quantity take-offs to discover any conflicts with either the agency or the Estimator prior to the start of the project.

+ Provides input on project schedule and update it with the Project Manager as required.

+ Informs the Project Manager of labor and equipment requirements as the project progresses.

+ Coordinates scheduling of concrete, pipe, and/or paving crews with the Project Manager.

+ Checks with the Project Manager to make sure the subcontractors, material suppliers, and Hunter Contracting Co. have submitted all the required shop drawings, plans, mix designs, special material approvals, traffic control layout, and documents in a timely manner.

+ Schedules all subcontractors and material suppliers and checks as to possible lead-times that may be required.

+ Notifies immediately in writing the appropriate individuals in the event of changed conditions or items not included in the plans, specifications, contract documents, or special provisions.

+ Follows through with change orders and extras with the Project Manager. Provides Project Manager with detailed information, such as drawings, documentation, photos, survey data, and specifications so a decision can be made and the appropriate action can be taken.

+ Has the project Blue Staked, then maintains, and references for all phases of work.

+ Locates and solves utility conflicts as soon as possible.

+ Arranges for yard locations and possible dump sites and obtains any permits and letters of permission as required.

+ Reviews weekly project cost reports. Informs and discusses with the Project Manager any errors or problem areas.

+ Provides safe conditions to traveling public and pedestrians with proper traffic control.

+ Provides safe working conditions to fellow employees with a clean job site and proper tools and equipment.

+ Maintains positive drainage after every work day when possible to protect the project from storm damage.

+ Schedules all surveying and testing required with the agency or subcontractor.

+ Maintains a daily logbook of the progress, events, changes, and problems that occur on the project.

+ Maintains set of fields as built plans and turns in at completion of project.

+ Reports any equipment problems to the Equipment Superintendent.

+ Submits quantity reports and timesheets daily.

+ Holds weekly safety meetings.

+ Performs monthly pay estimates on time with the appropriate individual.

+ Correlates and calculates final measurements and quantities to close out job.

+ Maintains quality control by supervision of Foremen and subcontractors.

+ Inspects and verifies receipt , supplies, and materials delivered to jobsite.

+ Properly codes all field tickets and turns into office promptly.

+ Maintains responsibility for hiring, terminating, and laying off work force. Follows proper hiring procedures.

+ Develops final written job review in cooperation with Project Manager after job completion.

+ Adheres to all Hunter Contracting Co. safety policies and procedures. Communicates and advocates all applicable safety policies and procedures with employees. Enforces all applicable safety polices and procedures with employees and subcontractors.

Work Qualifications:

+ When supervising workers engaged in several occupations, employee is required to possess general knowledge of the activities involved.

+ Thorough knowledge of all aspect of construction (technology, equipment, methods); craft agreements, jurisdiction, negotiations; engineering, cost control schedules, and safety.

+ Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction of buildings, highways, and/or roads.

+ Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.

+ Directing the work force under own control, including planning/organizing and redistributing work;

+ Must possess a clean Drivers License.

+ Bilingual preferred.

Education & Work Experience Guidelines:

+ Larger transportation project and/or development experience in excess of $10 Million

+ Three to five (3-5) + years of construction management and/or craft supervision experience; OR,

+ Any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities as determined by the hiring manager.

Construction Manager

Responsible for all aspects of construction on projects including Vendor selection on-site management coordination of subcontractors OEM installers and customer representatives. Represent the company as the expert on construction issues relating to construction/modification of towers and collocation or DAS and small cell projects including in-building iDAS public right-of-way oDAS Small Cells along with the associated inside outside plant construction methods. Oversight for DAS and small cell projects will include activities related to above and below-ground fiber installation hub construction node construction and related utility make-ready. Ensure all assigned projects are completed according to mutually agreed upon timeline and budget of customer.

Essential Job Functions

• Directly advise and influence decisions of District and/or Program and Project Managers in all aspects of construction work.

• Actively participate in and make recommendations in Vendor selection process.

• Attend deployment and other customer meetings as subject matter expert

• Develop customer relationships

• Make regular trips to sites during construction including: bid walk precon walk in progress site visits punch walks and construction closeout. Provide direction to general contractors when doing ground work.

Education/Certifications

Experience/Minimum Requirements

• Minimum three 3 years of telecommunications/wireless construction experience

• Knowledge of Outside Plant Construction techniques aerial underground for SCS.

• Familiarity with test equipment and techniques for performing RF Sweep test OTDR Power Meter and Passive Intermodulation PIM testing for SCS.

• Working knowledge of NESC NEC and OSHA standards.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Process Mechanical Construction Manager will manage the mechanical team and information from start to finish for large high-tech projects. The Process Mechanical Construction Manager will collaborate with design professionals, clients, subcontractors, and craftspeople to address complex mechanical coordination issues. This position is on the front line to aid in avoiding and solving technical problems that arise. The Process Mechanical Construction Manager will lead our onsite mechanical quality control efforts, which will include document review during preconstruction through commissioning and punch list.

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

+ Oversee mechanical wet and/or dry subcontractors’ and vendors’ installation work daily to ensure they are maintaining their installation schedule and support system startup and commissioning activities.

+ Interpret construction documents, control sequences, and technical manuals.

+ Run startup meetings involving Area Construction Managers, design team members, multiple subcontractors, local utility agencies and owners to coordinate/drive MEP system start up activities.

+ Interface between Area Construction Managers and multiple subcontractors to assist in coordinating mechanical and electrical system startups.

+ Verify all documentation is complete, and ensure equipment being prepared for startup is construction complete and can safely be started.

+ Coordinate MEP systems with civil, architectural, and structural elements within the overall project design.

**Turner & Townsend** are looking for a **Senior Construction Manager** to support a large-scale, ground-up manufacturing construction project with our client. The role will be responsible for all aspects of project delivery, from inception through to commissioning.

Under direction of the client, the Senior Construction Manager will be responsible for coordinating with the general contractor and architect/engineer services provider for all construction related activities on the project, including but not limited to:

**Responsibilities**

+ Site layout/design (inclusive of roads, infrastructure, site utilities, etc.).

+ Constructability reviews of designs, identifying risk to project cost and schedule, preparing reports.

+ Lead Turner & Townsend site project team, under the direction of the client

+ Ability to work well within a team and liaise with external vendors, architects, engineers, suppliers, & General Contractor.

+ In-depth knowledge of construction management in commercial building applications including applicable building codes and standards, as well as amendments by authorities having jurisdiction.

+ Strong working knowledge of safety in design and health and safety regulations as they apply to commercial building construction sites.

**Design Phase Services**

+ Support development of Minimum Functionality Case, plus enhancement identification.

+ Support and contribute to Value Engineering efforts (selection, coordination, comment follow-up and verification).

+ Assist in identifying long-lead items procurement items, providing input/feedback/research related to construction market conditions.

+ Assist with preparation of request for proposal for general contractor and commissioning agent procurements.

+ Assist in establishing the success criteria for the project construction, including schedule, cost, technical and quality performance parameters.

+ Review design and construction drawings against project requirements and for constructability issues and concerns, with follow-up and verification with GC and A/E.

+ Participate in risk identification and mitigation planning for cost and schedule risks.

+ Assist in developing baseline schedule and provide regular progress update on all activities.

+ Participate in Criticality Assessment (workshop to identify critical aspects of design and construction that may require owner witness/hold points and oversight of inspection, testing and acceptance).

**Design and Construct**

+ Participate in Interface with local authorities having jurisdiction, developers, municipal utility districts, etc., on issues regarding site development, e.g., utility tie-ins, permitting, etc.

+ Participate in review of Product Data Submittals in coordination with technical reviewers.

+ Coordinate with Commissioning Agent during development of Commissioning Plan and execution of Plan.

+ Review project submittals and RFI.

**Construction Phase Services including Commissioning and Handover to Operations**

+ Reviews the general contractors and key subcontractors project schedule for alignment with contract requirements.

+ Provide oversight of general contractor during construction phase activities, including regular site visits and review construction work.

+ Attend daily construction status meetings and Owner, Architect, Contractor meetings as scheduled.

+ Review and report on the overall construction effort and progress.

+ Evaluate of the project schedule with relation to actual field production.

+ Coordination with Cost and Scheduling representatives for project reporting and dashboard updates.

+ Coordination with Document Controller to ensure project documentation is loaded into client system of record.

+ Supports observation and issue tracking/resolution and punch-list, coordination with A/E.

+ Support In-Process and Final Inspection and Test activity conducted by GC and Commissioning Agent.

**Qualifications**

+ Ability to lead, coordinate & organize multiple stakeholders including general contractor and deliver project/program status reports as required.

+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
