**I. Job Summary**

Operate a wide variety of heavy equipment vehicles that construct landfills, open cells that are ready for trash fill, close cells, site maintenance, site closures, and/or mining.

Operates heavy equipments in compliance with the company operating safety policies and procedures.

Conducts routine equipment inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment; maintains accurate records

Moves and positions raw materials and finished components with use of material moving equipments.

Follow appropriate standard operating procedures as guideline for operating and maintaining vehicle

Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Description: This position will help Markit! execute various forestry projects and be responsible for assisting in the proper maintenance, preparation and operation of all tools and equipment including hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, and heavy machinery. This position will report to and work closely with Project Foremen and Superintendent.

Location: Projects may be located throughout the State of Arizona and surrounding states.

Travel: 50-75% but may be up to 100% depending on the project assignment. Lodging and per diem provided as well as adequate time off for rest.

Duties & Responsibilities:

+ Operate Markit!’s heavy forestry equipment (e.g. Skidder, Feller Buncher, Log Loader, Harvester, Delimber, Masticator, Tracked Skidder, Dozer, Excavator, Chipper) as appropriate for each project.

+ Perform chainsaw felling operations, including directional felling, limbing, and bucking.

+ Manage slash operations, including lop-and-scatter, chipping, and hauling.

+ Perform road work, excavation, lifting work, site clean-up, etc.

+ Control erosion by contour felling and LEB creation and installation.

+ Responsible for completing and submitting proper daily inspections and maintenance on assigned machine(s), requesting any necessary repairs/maintenance from the Fleet Department.

+ Adhere to Markit!’s safety standards and promote safety culture among crew members, including the proper use of machinery and equipment and resolve problems when they arise.

+ Participate in weekly job site maintenance training conducted by the Foreman.

+ Perform equipment repairs/maintenance.

+ Prepare to spend multiple overnights at project sites, as necessary.

+ General forestry labor, as necessary and appropriate.

Requirements:

+ 1- 3 years of experience in operating heavy machinery, forestry industry preferred.

+ 18 years of age or older.

+ Must possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.

+ Must pass pre-employment background check.

+ Ability to work in a team and independently.

+ Excellent communication skills.

+ Have the ability and desire to perform strenuous outdoor work on rough terrain in a variety of inclement weather conditions.

+ Quick and able learner with strong leadership skills and a keen eye for details and good decision-making and problem-solving skills.

+ Ability to work under pressure and stress and handle emergency situations.

+ Effectively complete work projects on time.

+ Ability to utilize safety procedures.

**Responsibilities:**

+ Accurately pick, sort, pull, store, and load products in assigned locations while safely operating PIT equipment, including order picker, standup forklift, and reach truck

+ Accurately and safely stage products and load flatbed trucks for shipment and local delivery

+ Process replenishments in assigned locations using the required PIT as needed

+ Perform routine cleaning in assigned zones

+ Assemble containers and maintain supplies in an organized manner

+ Perform tasks using a hand-held RF unit/scanner or voice picking system

**Qualifications:**

+ High school diploma or equivalent and 6 months of experience operating forklifts or powered industrial trucks (PIT).

+ Strong work ethic and willingness to work overtime when needed

+ Ability to excel within a fast-paced, team environment

+ Ability to safely operate Powered Industrial Equipment such as Order Pickers, Forklifts, etc. (securely harnessed) and/or work on the multi-level mezzanine at heights of 30+ ft.

+ Ability to operate RF Scan Guns, calculators, and other equipment & technology as required

+ In our MDC, you’ll always be on the move! Please note the following physical requirements in addition to the above:

Pay Transparency

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Universal Operator operates one or more of the following pieces of heavy construction equipment skillfully and safely: excavators, blades, scrapers, motor graders, front end loaders, gannon tractors, backhoes, etc.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Effectively, skillfully, safely, and accurately operates heavy construction equipment
Completes proper equipment inspections prior to use to ensure that it is in proper operating condition
Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations
Knowledgeable in Blue Stake markings, shoring procedures, sloping, and benching procedures
Reads and interprets engineering drawings and specifications
Meet production goals from the direction of the site Foreman or Superintendent
Signals directions and warnings to crew members at the work site
Works with crew members when not operating equipment
Performs other duties as required and assigned
Adheres to all DCS Contracting safety policies, procedures, and instructions from management

QUALIFICATIONS:

5+ years’ experience operating heavy construction equipment required or equivalent combination of experience and training/education
Knowledgeable of OSHA standards and requirements
Able to work outside in all weather conditions
Willingness to learn and accept direction from field supervision
Must be a team player and be willing to help out wherever is needed for the success of the project
Safety first mindset, MUST stop work if something is unsafe
Reliable transportation and work schedule flexibility
Ability to get the job done with minimal supervision
MUST be reliable and dependable

This is a Safety Sensitive position.

Must be willing and able to drive within a 60+ mile radius from DCS's office to and from assigned job site.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Mainline Trackhoe Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating a CAT excavator to install storm or sanitation sewers, drains, and water mains.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Effectively, skillfully, safely, and accurately operates varies heavy construction equipment
Completes proper equipment inspections prior to use to ensure that it is in proper operating condition
Meet precise standards to excavate line and grade for mainline waterline
Excavates around existing utilities, to install Mainline and backfill piping
Must have knowledge of pothole procedure, pipeline and grade compaction requirements
Inspecting equipment for deficiencies, such as tires, lights, brakes, fuses and fluid levels, and submits report indicating equipment condition.
Ensure trench is excavated to the proper depth/grade
Be aware of proper rigging of pipe, manhole barrels, etc. and ensure safe work procedures are followed during the lowering of materials into the excavation.
