A Day in the Life
Perform preventative maintenance and resolve complex problems by troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic systems and combustion engine problems on customer-owned Tennant products and similar competitor models.
Own your territory and plan your daily schedule, including contacting customers to schedule all service activities, and ensure open communication with customers regarding service expectations, timeline estimates, billing, and future service needs.
+ Create and maintain records of all service activities and business reporting documentation.
+ Ensure cleanliness and organization of all Tennant Company property. This includes the company vehicle, tools, parts, inventory, and equipment.
+ Follow all safety protocols and utilize proper PPE.
Collaborate with internal partners such as sales, customer service, technical assistance, field service support, and other technicians to support your success.

Required Experience and Education
+ High school diploma or equivalent. Vocational school in automotive/diesel/electrical preferred.
+ 2-5 years experience of troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical systems.
+ 2-5 years of experience reading electrical schematics.
+ 2-5 years of experience using hand and power shop tools, equipment, and diagnostic devices.
+ 2-5 years of experience working in direct contact with customers on service-related activities preferred.
+ 2-5 years of experience using a personal computer, MS Office Suite, email, and proprietary Tennant systems.
+ 2-5 years of experience of estimating and inventory management.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
+ Valid driver's license plus meet Tennant Company driving policy requirements.

**Responsibilities**
Essential functions will include:
+ Conducts maintenance and repairs of telecommunications systems.
+ Performs PMI tests on telephone switch backup power systems, inside/outside cable plants, and VoIP configurations.

**Qualifications**
+ High school diploma or equivalent required. Advanced learning degree highly preferred
+ Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certificate preferred.
+ Must be trained and possess necessary certifications and licenses for Base Telecommunications System (BTS) operations and maintenance services
+ Advanced technical expertise in BTS maintenance and troubleshooting.
+ Proficiency in handling telecommunications equipment, including Cisco VoIP systems.
+ Experience with preventive maintenance inspections (PMI) and fault isolation procedures.
+ Must have a favorably completed NACI investigation and comply with DoD security requirements
+ Personnel working in Air Force-controlled/restricted areas must be trained under AFI 31-101, Integrated Defense.

+ Load and unload medical equipment, oxygen and supplies onto and off of delivery vehicles.

+ Ensure patients do not suffer service failures by proactively communicating estimated arrival times with patients and/or family members.
+ Complete daily delivery logs, pick-up and delivery forms, reimbursement documents and vehicle maintenance logs via paper or electronic means (cell phone and/or iPad).
+ Perform routine vehicle maintenance and daily inspections including the checking of gasoline, oil fluids, tire pressure and brakes. Responsible for reporting any issues or malfunctions to leadership.

+ Keep up to date on administrative responsibilities (e.g., maintaining customer service logs and internal service records in a timely manner, ordering repair parts, managing cycle times).
+ Utilize the GEHC escalation process, as needed, and work closely with region and national support to define and support implementation of corrective action plans to resolve customer issues in a timely manner.
+ Partner with the customer and recommend value-added services that will help the customer run their business more efficiently.
+ Keep up to date with competitor information and market trends.
**Qualifications :**
+ Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field;
+ OR equivalent military education;
+ OR participant in the formal GEHC Biomed/FE Services Internship or Military Externship program;
+ OR High School Diploma/GED and 2+ years of experience servicing electrical, electronics, IT or mechanical equipment.
+ Experience with Web applications as well as Microsoft suite of products.
+ The successful applicant must comply with GEHC's standard background check, including a post-offer drug test. In addition, during employment, the employee must comply with all customer access policies, including but not limited to obtaining and/or providing proof of required immunizations, and additional drug tests or background checks (including a federal government background check if assigned to support a contract with the federal government).
**Special Physical Requirements:**
+ Candidate must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 lbs. unassisted and frequently bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch/squat, kneel/crawl, sit and stand for long periods of time.
+ Candidate must also be able to reach at, above and below shoulder level, flex/extend neck and have good hand and finger dexterity. Specific vision abilities required by this job may include color, close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.
+ Must have and maintain a valid Driver's License.Willingness to be available ""after hours"", or work a rotating On-Call schedule, including weekends, for critical issues and coverage, as necessary.
