    The USMC MQ-9 CLS Technician is a highly qualified and skilled aircraft electronics and Ground Support Station technician with experience in troubleshooting multiple electronics systems both aircraft and control stations.     **Essential Responsibilities:**

    + Must maintain assigned UAS aircraft electrical generators, load banks, starters, relays, batteries, actuators, circuit breakers, switches, and aircraft instruments.

    + Must apply advanced technical knowledge to solve complex problems that typically cannot be solved solely by referencing manufacturers’ manuals or similar documents. Examples of such problems include determining the location and density of circuitry, evaluating electromagnetic radiation, isolating malfunctions, and incorporating engineering changes.

    + Work typically requires an understanding of the interrelationships of circuits, exercising independent judgment in performing such tasks as making circuit analyses, calculating wave forms, and tracing relationships in signal flow, using complex test instruments such as high frequency pulse generators, frequency synthesizers, distortion analyzers, and complex computer control equipment.

    + The CLS technician shall utilize excellent organizational skills in prioritizing workload to meet Daily Flight Schedule.

    + Required to make entries in aircraft logs and records, attend shift change maintenance meetings, perform as a QA, and is responsible for providing guidance and technical expertise to lower-level technicians throughout all aircraft modifications and/or maintenance efforts.

    + Applies advanced technical knowledge to solve unusually complex problems that affect operational and maintenance capabilities.

    + Requires an advanced understanding of the interrelationships of circuits and associated systems.

    The role

    The Avionics Technician is primarily responsible for skilled work, including installing, inspecting, testing, adjusting, and repair of aircraft avionics equipment and systems in accordance with applicable regulations, manufacturers' instructions, and company policies.

    Responsibilities

    + Installs, inspects, tests, adjusts, and repairs aircraft avionics equipment and systems, including radio systems, compass systems, and navigation systems.

    + Troubleshoots and corrects problems related to avionics systems through the use of wiring

    + diagrams and maintenance manuals. Read blueprints and schematics.

    + Lays out installation of aircraft avionics assemblies and systems.

    + Sets up and operates ground support and test equipment to perform functional tests of electrical and avionics systems.

    + Performs skilled manual and technical work using hand tools, soldering irons, circuit testers, voltmeters, ammeters, and ohmmeters and other avionics testing equipment.

    + Effectively researches manufacturers' manuals for appropriate and safe completion of repair

    + procedures prior to performing repairs.

    + Reads maintenance manuals, instructions and safety information to properly identify and locate components on the aircraft and accurately implement instructions listed in maintenance manuals.

    + Lifts and carries hand tools, parts, and work materials; ascends and descends ladders and platforms; and frequently works in a variety of positions such as stooping, kneeling or squatting.

    + Ensures consistent and accurate maintenance of aircraft avionics records by properly documenting & completing required forms, computer entries, and/or logbook entries.

    + Follows company policies and procedures.

    + Completes other duties as assigned.

    **Location:** Mesa, AZ | **Pay Rate:** $32.19/hour | **Schedule:** Full-Time, 2nd Shift (6am - 4:30pm)

    **Position Purpose:**

    The Aircraft Technician II performs inspections, maintenance, and repairs on aircraft systems and structures of moderate to advanced complexity, under minimal supervision. This role ensures compliance with FAA regulations and company quality standards, contributing to the safe and efficient operation of aircraft. The technician coordinates closely with team leads, the inspection department, and other departments to maintain schedule integrity and ensure high-quality work.

    **Essential Functions:**

    + Communicate as required to receive and understand work assignments. Perform complex aircraft inspections, repairs, and modifications with minimal supervision.

    + Coordinate with MTL, STM, and the Inspection Department to ensure compliance with internal and FAA inspection and documentation requirements. Properly complete CMP cards, work order sign-offs, and other paperwork in a timely and accurate manner. Assist as needed with shift turnovers.

    + Ensure that all work accomplished meets quality standards and specifications.

    + Properly identify (tag) customer property and equipment. Store aircraft components and other customer property securely and safely.

    + Follow standard operating procedures when operating ground support equipment (external power carts, hydraulic mules, hydraulic lift platforms, tow tugs, forklifts, compressed gas cylinders, etc.) .

    + Coordinate, accomplish, and assist with aircraft movement in hangar and ramp areas.

    + Provide training to less experienced technicians. .

    + Protect customer property (PTP).

    **Additional Functions:**

    + Properly collect and dispose of waste fuel, oil, hydraulic fluids, de-icing fluids, and solvent rags. Apply 6S and Lean Initiatives to keep shops, hangars, and aircraft work areas clean and uncluttered.

    + Implement and apply Lean/continuous improvement processes to all areas of responsibility.

    + Properly use and maintain Company-provided tools and equipment. Return items to designated storage area after use.

    + Comply with safety rules and procedures. Use protective equipment as required. and be alert for unsafe conditions. Address unsafe conditions before putting people or property at risk.

    + Use the material tracking system to create parts demand, track squawks, and sign-offs, and to charge labor to correct work orders.

    + In support of aircraft certification and final phase testing, may include flight tests on aircraft as required.

    **Other Requirements** :

    + Working knowledge of the FAA regulations, process specifications, Repair Station and Quality Control manuals, and company policies and procedures.

    + Must have working knowledge of Turbine Engines. Rolls Royce and Pratt Whitney specific would be a plus!

    + Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

    + Live A/C experience required.

    **Education and Experience Requirements:**

    + High School Diploma or GED required.

    + FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate **and** Two (2) years of aviation maintenance experience or Four (4) years of aviation maintenance experience to include 2 years of experience working on mid/large size aircraft required.

    + Previous experience with corporate fixed wing or Company specific aircraft maintenance is highly preferred.

    + Valid Driver’s License required.
