    The National Airspace Systems Integration Support (NISC) program at Leidos is seeking a **Telecommunications Engineering Technician** to provide support to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Central Service Area - Engineering Services Group located across the United States. Work location: **Phoenix, AZ.**

    The ideal candidate will support the daily operations of the FAA Enterprise Network Services (FENS) Program. FENS is the successor to the FAA Telecommunications Infrastructure (FTI) contract, which was implemented in 2002 to provide over 30,000 communications services to more than 4,500 facilities within the National Airspace System. The program aims to design, build, operate, and maintain the FAA's next-generation communications platform and to build a dynamic, highly available and secure enterprise network to support all the agency's mission-critical applications across the NAS.

    **Telecommunications Engineering Technician** **Job Duties Include:**

    + Review FAA data bases and provide input and or draft Site Survey Reports (SSR).

    + Conduct site surveys to provide input and/or draft Site Survey Reports.

    + Coordinate schedules with SSC, ES, and Verizon personnel.

    + Draft Project Risk Plans (PRP) and Operational Risk Management Plans (ORMP).

    + Generate and/or update drawings, sketches, and artifacts.

    + Draft project plans for site preparation activities.

    + Coordinate scheduled outages with SSC, Air Traffic and Operations personnel.

    + Develop transition plans.

    + Resolve schedule conflicts.

    **Telecommunications Engineering Technician ​Required Qualifications:**

    + Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering and 2+ years of relevant experience **OR** a Master's degree with less than 2 years of relevant experience. Additional experience may be substituted/considered/accepted in lieu of degree.

    + Ability to travel 25%-50%.

    + Ability to obtain a Public Trust Security Clearance Suitability (To be eligible for Public Trust Security Clearance, one **must** be either a U.S. Citizen OR a U.S. Permanent Resident/Green Card holder who has resided in the U.S.A for the **past 3 years** **of the past 5 years consecutively** with no breaks).

    + Service Commercial Tires including dismounting and mounting any type of tire.

    + Train to perform match mounting, match mating dual assemblies, and radial runout as necessary.

    + Inflating of tires to prescribed PSI per load requirements.
