**Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:**
+ Field Technicians are expected to follow Atlas' policies and guidelines in regard to health and safety. Technicians will be performing observations, sampling and testing on asphalt, concrete and soils.
+ Capable of completing assigned tasks on time and occasionally working long hours or weekends to do so.
+ Ability to understand directions and execute assignments, operate a company vehicle, work outdoors, communicate effectively with peers, willing to take on new assignments and ensure their completion within scope and budget in a safe manner.
**Minimum requirements:**

Grand Canyon University's Facilities department is seeking an entry level fleet mechanic. Fleet Mechanic is responsible for investigating problems with the university fleet vehicles and making repairs accordingly. Their duties include communicating with vehicle operators to discuss the concerns, carrying out routine maintenance procedures on fleet vehicles and replacing parts on fleet vehicles to promote their functionality.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 7am-3pm
Pay: $19
What you will do:
+ Perform golf cart and shuttle bus assessments and repairs.
+ Complete moderate level repairs as needed. Moderate repairs to include batteries, fuses, lights and etc.
+ Complete cart, shuttle bus.
+ Maintain inventory in Facilities software program.
+ Train student workers on various departmental tasks.
+ Other duties as assigned.
What you will need:
+ High school diploma or equivalent.
+ Experience conducting routine services and vehicle maintenance.
+ Demonstrated experience inspecting vehicles for faults and repairs.
+ Demonstrated experience with small engine repair.
+ Demonstrated experience with vehicle diagnostic equipment.
+ Must have valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
+ Must pass pre-employment background investigation.

Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Clean and detail exterior, updated signage/decals, inspect electrical, perform minor refurbishments, and change light bulbs of Automated Teller Machines and Kiosks
+ Remove nonstandard signage and other materials (e.g. stickers, posters, decals, graffiti, etc.) that may be affixed to ATM or the immediate surrounding area
+ Clean stainless-steel surfaces inside bank vaults
+ Wipe down bollard, as instructed
+ Ensure the 10-ft radius surrounding machines is clear of trash before exiting work site
+ Complete project work which may include alarm surveys, ADA compliance inspections, software updates, site surveys, lighting measurements, other inspections, etc.
+ Sanitize all high contact surfaces
+ Regularly inspect and dry-wipe ATM's and drive-up banking equipment including ATM surrounds and night depositories, etc.
+ Take meticulous photographs of required devices, forms, and areas
+ Organize and manage paperwork and inventory
+ Perform other duties as assigned
Skills Required:
+ Smart phone familiarity and tech-savvy with strong mechanical/electrical aptitude and eagerness to learn new skills
+ Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
+ Strong work ethic to work independently and reliably meet deadlines with minimum supervision
+ Great communication/customer service skills and ability to interpret/execute written instructions
+ Valid driver's license with a driving record in good standing and a reliable/insured vehicle
Experience and Education:
+ Previous work with electrical functions, general repairs, or similar fieldwork is preferred
+ High school diploma or equivalent— trade school or apprenticeship is a plus

Welcome to the unique industry of Construction Materials Testing & Inspections where the work you do is vital to construction and the growth of our communities!
Your Role as a Field Technician:
You will learn to inspect construction work, performed by contractors/trades, to check it complies with the requirements of the project specifications and building codes. ProTeX Field Technicians conduct a variety of construction inspections and testing each day at several different construction sites throughout the valley. Examples of Inspections and Testing Include: Post-Tension Foundation Inspections; Anchor Inspections; Drainage Inspections; Soil Testing, Concrete Sampling; Materials Sampling.
Work Schedule:
The Field Technician is a full-time position working upwards of 40 hours a week, Monday – Friday, and on a rotating Saturday schedule. We work when the contractors are working, which means some of our jobs start as early as 1:00 AM when concrete is being poured. The daily schedule, sent out the night before- between 5PM-6PM, provides the time of your first inspection the next day. You can expect to drive up to 200 miles a day, in a company-provided truck, as you move between job sites.
Work Requirements:
Must be able to work independently with little to no supervision. Lift up to 75 lbs., have a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and a desire to learn and grow with Arizona’s leading Geotechnical testing and inspection company.
