    **What You'll Do**

    + Heavy Equipment/Auto Mechanic Primary: Perform inspection, repair and part replacement on rolling stock, including forklifts, cranes, backhoes, trucks, bulldozers and other miscellaneous pieces of equipment, such as portable pumps, portable welders, etc.

    + C&M Man Primary: Perform insulation and refractory duties, applies coatings, sandblast duties, designs and erects work platforms, performs carpentry and masonry, etc.

    + Machinist Primary: Performs mechanical maintenance and repair of power plant equipment, including machining, assembly and disassembly of equipment, investigating and correction mechanical malfunction.

    + Metal Fabricator Primary: Perform certified welding on plant equipment, including layout, setting up, and welding parts and materials, and re-certification or quality control tests that apply to the job.

    + Plant Mechanic Primary: Perform mechanical maintenance and repair of power plant equipment, including machining, assembly and disassembly of equipment, investigating and correcting mechanical malfunctions.

    **What It Takes To Succeed**

    Qualifications: Must qualify as a Maintenance Specialist in one of the following primary crafts: Heavy Equipment/Auto Mechanic, Machinist, Metal Fabricator, Plant C&M Man, Plant Mechanic. Qualifying tests may be given. Requirements: Reasonable and necessary overtime will be required. Shift work may be required. Must complete required secondary skill training. PRIMARY/SECONDARY SKILL SETS: The secondary skill requirements will be specified by the company at the time of the bid and will be based on projected plant needs. SEONDARY SKILL TRAINING: All training to be completed within two years* from the date of promotion. One-on-one Training Progress Reviews will be held every quarter or in accordance with the individual’s training plan. During this meeting, the employee will have an opportunity to comment with regard to training issues.
