Makes full use of machine capacity to minimize amount of machining or number of set-ups required to product parts competitively.
Performs machining operations, such as milling, turning, facing, boring, chasing single and multiple external and internal threads, drilling, grooving, reaming and chamfering. Monitor machines and verify that part dimensions conform to specifications.
Performs visual and dimensional inspections to verify compliance with specifications. Uses calipers, micrometers, gauges, indicators, and other inspection tools. Performs rework as necessary.
Maintains cleanliness of the work area and ensures proper handling of tools, equipment, and stock to prevent loss. Conforms to departmental safety requirements
**Other Requirements:** This is a very physically demanding position that often requires standing for extended periods of time, walking, bending, squatting, twisting, kneeling, reaching, lifting, the ability to distinguish between colors, the ability to work in an environment with noise that may be difficult for some individuals with sensitivity to noise, the use of hand and power tools, and driving or operating heavy machinery including forklifts.

+ Ensure all jobsite safety procedures and standards are followed and met.
+ Observe and listen to machine operation to detect malfunctions during the manufacturing process.
+ Understand, support, and implement the company Housekeeping, Safety and Quality policies and procedures into daily work habits.
