Schedule: 10:00PM-6:30 AM Sunday to Thursday

Compensation: $20.00 per hour + $1.25 shift differential

THE ROLE

The CPP Cutting Operator is responsible for operating the Rosenthal Machine that fabricates prepreg rolls into sheets. This position is also responsible or the timely transfer of fabricated prepreg sheets in preparation for the tooling process. The CPP Cutting Operator is a B level position. B level positions are responsible for cross-training on A-B level positions within the CPP/Collation department.

Top Responsibilities

Review and understand work orders.
Verify information against customer profiles.
Set-up prepreg rolls onto machine following proper procedures.
Enter length specifications in machine and adjust slitters to the required width of the panels.

Remove fabricated prepreg sheets from machine, stack accordingly, and move product to tooling area.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.

Six Months of Manufacturing Experience
Previous experience using a PC.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Basic Math.
Forklift Experience Plus

Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

THE ROLE

The Finishing Operator is responsible to convert master sheets to panels or sheets according to production work orders. The operator will be required to operate automated or semi-automated cutting equipment and inspect the product for conformance to customer and industry specifications.

Set up, program and operate automated equipment according to customer requirements directed by the work order.

Reports any anticipated issues, work stoppage, or equipment downtime or any other problems and interruptions in the work flow to the operations leader.
Maintain complete and accurate records for material usage and product traceability within the SAP inventory tracking system for all materials used during the process.

Minimum Qualifications

+ High School diploma or GED required.

+ Minimum of 5 years machining experience.

+ Experience running and setting up CNC Lathe and CNC Mill.

+ Must be able to read and write English.

+ Application of machine shop theory and procedures, shop mathematics.

+ Experience in reading, interpreting technical drawings, routers, work instructions and specifications. Able to create plan on how to machine based on information.

+ Advanced measurement skills for inspection, including GD&T, use of CMM, and optical comparator.

+ Knowledge of cutting tool capabilities (speeds/feeds, types, insert grades, etc. based on material and size).

+ Must be proficient in G & M codes, creating and editing CNC programs on lathes and mills, and setting up complex parts.

+ Strong communication, critical thinking, and multi-tasking abilities.

+ Train Level I and II machinists as directed.

+ Monitor operations and quickly react and troubleshoot non-conforming operations as they occur.

+ While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to bend, squat, sit, stand, walk, and handle objects. The employee is occasionally required to push/pull and reach above shoulder level. The employee must be able to carry/lift up to 40 pounds and be able to rotate item being handled.

+ Work on feet for entire shift.

+ Manual dexterity and the ability to carry out complex, repetitive tasks quickly and methodically.

+ Must be a U.S. Citizen.

+ Proficient in MS Office (Excel and Word).

+ Working knowledge of CNC machine code.

+ Must be able to set up proven jobs in established time.

+ Must hold a Sargent Designated Quality Inspection (DQI) authority or have the prerequisite skills (drawing comprehension, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, and inspection methodology) to become qualified within 6 months of hire.

+ Experience designing and creating tooling based on part geometry.

+ Experience with spherical surfaces and threads and able to make machine adjustments to ensure parts meet specification.

+ Some conventional machining experience.

+ College Course work preferred.

Under general supervision provides technical knowledge and guidance to assist with maintenance of automation systems. Provide assistance in installation, diagnostics, and repair of industrial automation systems and equipment.

Located approximately 50 miles northeast of Safford, Arizona on U.S. Highway 191, Morenci operations (an open-pit copper mining complex) has been in continuous operation since 1939. **Description**

Highly skilled workers who perform maintenance crafts work such as plumbing, pipefitting, welding, machining, boiler making, gear component assembly or other specialized area. Will perform maintenance activities independently, with minimal supervision.

Specifically, a Machinist performs duties related to the set up and operation of machine tools and fits and assembles parts to make or repair metal parts, mechanisms, tools or machines using Metal Lathes, Drill Press, Horizontal Milling Machine, Band Saw and Boring Unit. Lays out work from drawings, sketches, and written specifications. Rebuilds all gearing components on 4100XPA, XPB, XPC/AC Komatsu Electric Shovels including Hoist 1st and 2nd intermediate assembly, Hoist Drum assembly, Propel and Swing Shaft Assembly, Crowd Gear Case Assembly, Point Sheave Assembly, Saddle Block Assembly, Side Frame Line Boring and Motor Alignments. Repair or build replacement parts for PV271, PV271XC Epiroc Diesel Drills

+ Perform routine maintenance activities

+ Develop solutions for various maintenance situations

+ Complete Work Orders and other maintenance documentation

+ Train and mentor maintenance employees

+ Perform other duties as required.

**Qualifications**

Minimum Qualifications:

+ Four (4) years' experience in the crafts of Machinist, Line Boring, Welding, Boiler Maker

+ Must have completed academic and practical competencies required (this includes Line of Progression requirements for internal employees where LOP Exists) and have experience demonstrating the required mechanical aptitude. The selected candidate shall demonstrate the ability to apply knowledge and technical skills while also passing a written assessment where required. This exam is based on technical skills/abilities and/or academic knowledge; as well as safety.

+ Proficiency in welding/cutting

+ Ability to Operate a 11”, 20”, 24” and 32” Lathe, Milling Machine, Horizontal Milling Machine, Marvel Band Saw, Drill Press.

+ Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures given in English

+ Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards

Preferred Qualifications:

+ High School Diploma or GED

+ Experience working on 4100XPA, 4100XPB/C and 4100 XPC/AC Komatsu Electric Shovels

+ Experience working on PV271, PV271XC Epiroc Diesel Drills
