Fabricator I-III Position Overview

The fabricator is responsible for the fabrication of handrails, walkways, decks, drill tooling, and support equipment. Weld casing and other fabrication as needed both in the shop and within the field.

+ Fabricators can work 10 days on 4 days off, or 9 days on 5 days off schedule.

Essential Functions

+ Demonstrate a strong commitment to safe work practices and procedures.

+ Repair and replace damaged or worn parts.

+ Operate and inspect machines or heavy equipment to diagnose defects.

+ Diagnose faults or malfunctions to determine required repairs, using engine diagnostic equipment such as computerized test equipment and calibration devices.

+ Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using hoists and hand tools.

+ Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment and vehicles.

+ Examine parts for damage or excessive wear using micrometers and gauges.

+ Weld or solder broken parts and structural members using electric or gas welders and soldering tools.

Qualifications

+ Must pass a pre-employment physical, drug (including the use of marijuana) and alcohol screening, Motor Vehicle Report (MVR), and additional background screening as required by regulation and/or industry practice.

+ Must have a valid driver's license and can obtain a CDL.

+ Field mechanics must have the ability to work 12 hours per day plus travel time, to and from the rig, and work in extreme weather conditions in geographically isolated areas.

+ Must have experience with MIG, TIG, and ARC welding.

+ Must know how to use a CNC plasma table.

+ Must understand how to read a print.

+ Experience repairing and maintaining mechanical equipment.

+ Must be able to lift 100 lbs.

+ Must be able to stand for long periods of time and push, pull, reach, climb, bend, twist, squat, and kneel multiple times per shift.

+ Must be willing to travel and work in remote locations, outside, and in all weather conditions (heat and cold).

Welder

Applies basic and some advanced welding processes to join sheet metal aircraft components as specified by written instructions, weld schedules and drawings. Visually and dimensionally inspects completed work for conformances to verbal/written instructions and specifications. Position Description

Kinder Morgan is one of the largest energy infrastructure in North America owning and operating approximately 79,000 miles of pipeline. We are currently looking to hire a Welder for our Pipeline Project Support Division.

PRIMARY PURPOSE:

Coordinate and complete welding, construction and maintenance tasks as part of a roving pipeline crew.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

+ Perform pipe fabrication welds, in-service welds, tie-in welds and hot taps on steel pipelines that range in various sizes up to 42 O.D. on natural gas and products pipelines

+ Have knowledge of or possess experience in all phases of mobilizing, operating and maintaining heavy excavation equipment to include excavation frequently on in-service natural gas pipelines.

+ Read and interpret engineering construction blueprints for projects.

+ Scope, plan, estimate, track costs and schedule work and resources for projects.

+ Operate trucks, welding rigs and trailers for hauling equipment or project materials to job site.

+ Assist Pipeline Specialists in field checks prior to excavation.

+ Locate and mark pipelines with pipeline locating equipment or probe rods using drawing and alignment sheets for reference.

+ Inspect coating, remove coating and complete surface preparation for the application of coating for buried pipe service.

+ Calibrate and maintain a holiday detector for coating application inspection.

+ Perform ultrasonic thickness examinations.

TIG and MIG Welders for Small Fabrication Shop. Light to medium gauge sheet metal & frames and custom made parts from customer's drawings and/or blueprints. Stainless, Aluminum, and Steel. Welds must be precise and pretty. Experience required. Versatility needed to help in other fabrication processes as need it. Press Brake, Punch, Laser, handheld Plasma, and other fabrication tools a plus.

Precision Metal Products LLC manufactures quality precision fabricated metal assemblies, and components for industries such as military and defense, medical, automotive and off-road, industrial, commercial, and many more. PMP is looking for people to join our fabrication team. We are currently seeking candidates for a welder fabricator as described below.

Requirements

• Experience 3yrs of TIG and MIG welding of steel, aluminum, and stainless sheet metal components

• Weld components according to sketches, drawings and/or blueprints specifications

• Optimize welding processes for production runs

• Setup and run other fabrication equipment such as press brakes, grinder, band saw, drill press, etc.

• Experience in sheet metal fabrication

• Experience with TIG or MIG or Both Welding processes a plus

• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints

• Strong Math Skills

• Good problem-solving skills

• Experience operating a forklift

• High School Diploma or GED

• Must be able to pass AWS D1.1 or D1.2 Weld Test

Job Description

The Welder uses ARC or MIG welding equipment on hand-welding operations for a production environment in accordance with lean and 5S methodologies. Regulates gas for proper atmospheric control, current, and voltage for proper penetration and fusion of metals. Selects electrode type and size, tips and welding rod as required for work involved. Welds together metal components of products with electric arc-welding equipment.

Job Responsibilities & Requirements

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

+ Possess all tools to complete the essential duties and responsibilities.

+ Read engineered drawings with some assistance.

+ Demonstrate ability to turn on welding machine, connect cables properly, and adjust machine settings for proper weld penetration and appearance.

+ Turn regulator valves to activate flow of gases, torch lights, and adjusts gas mixture and pressure to obtain desired flame for cutting.

+ Manually guides electrode or gun along weld line, maintaining length of arc and speed of movement to join edges of work piece with supervision.

+ Weld flat, cylindrical, or irregular parts by positioning with bolts, clamps or by tack welding to secure in position prior to welding.

+ Examines weld for bead size and other specifications.

+ Maintain clean and organized work area.

+ Perform other duties as assigned.

+ Attendance at work during the regularly scheduled shift is an essential duty. This includes but is not limited to the ability to be present at work, arrive on time and be at the work station ready for work at the start of the shift.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

+ Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required

+ Experience: Or one to three years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

+ Computer Skills: Windows operating systems. MiTek Time & Attendance System / labor Tracking System.

+ Other Requirements: Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence, effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Mathematical Skills: Abiity to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables i situations wher eonly limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
