    Bombardier has an exciting opportunity available for an **Interior Craftsperson - Cabinet Fabricator** based in Tucson, AZ.

    In your role, you will:

    * Fabricate, and refurbish aircraft interior equipment and furnishings per work order or customer request. This may include items such as fabricate and veneering of cabinets and bulkheads, fabrication of Corian counter tops

    * Perform and document all work performed per appropriate manuals and regulations as required

    * Travel for international assignments if required

    * Perform additional work on drop-ins and planned maintenance within the facility during slow periods of unplanned work if required

    * Must be able to interpret and work with mechanical engineering drawings

    **Qualifications**

    As our ideal candidate,

    * You typically have 5 years interiors experience (i.e. previous wood finish experience (i.e., auto, RV, boat, etc)

    * You have thorough knowledge of cabinet construction, modification and assembly and wood working skills

    * You demonstrate the ability to break down cabinets remove hardware, inlay etc.

    * You have the ability to apply veneers and laminates

    * You have knowledge in fabrication of Coran Counter tops

    * You demonstrate mechanical aptitude You demonstrate the ability to interpret and work with mechanical engineering drawings

    * You have basic PC skills

    * You demonstrate the ability to communicate in both written and verbal form on individual and / or aircraft status

    In your role, you will:

    + Adhere to Bombardier General Work Requirements for factory, shop and/or hanger positions

    + Comply with environmental health and safety policies / procedures.

    + Participate in 5-S activities.

    + Perform all work in a safe and timely manner.

    + Prepare aircraft and / or component parts by performing surface preparation tasks prior to application of primer and topcoat

    + Install sealant and erosion tape

    + Apply primer and topcoat.

    + Layout aircraft to customer specifications

    + Inspect, perform touch-up and polish painted surfaces for a finished appearance

    + Perform and document work performed per appropriate manuals and regulations

    + Assist with maintenance at off-site locations as needed

    + Assist with moving aircraft into bay as needed

    + Remove aircraft panels for inspection as needed

    **Qualifications**

    As our ideal candidate,

    + You typically have 2-5 years of painting experience (i.e. aviation, automotive or marine)

    + You have satisfactory results on Pulmonary Function evaluation in order to obtain respirator certification

    + You have formal vocational training or equivalent

    + You have customer service / aviation work experience

    + You have basic PC skills

    + You have basic knowledge pulling maintenance manuals / IPCs from computer

    + You have basic knowledge of regulations dealing with transportation of hazardous materials

    + You have demonstrated ability to communicate in both written and verbal form on individual and / or aircraft status

    Position Overview

    Working for the Manager, Fabricating Estimating & Project Management, the Fabrication & Print Estimator will be qualified to read architectural plans, interpret renderings, drawings, proposals, and other documentation to prepare accurate signage estimates, bids, and quotes. This position has the potential for upward movement in project management both in fabrication and large format printing.

    Responsibilities

    + Review, interpret, process takeoffs from architectural drawings and or concept drawings, renders or sketches, to accurately determine material and labor costs.

    + Produce estimates for all manufacturing and installation of projects.

    + Secure manufacturing/installation costs from wholesale vendors and sub-contractors. Work with purchasing, sales, design, and production to deliver completed estimate within allowable time.

    + Work with purchasing to solicit and collect material costs.

    + Work with production to establish fabrication rates and options for fabrication methods.

    + Ensure accuracy of estimates and estimating process

    + Solicit feedback from production to improve estimating accuracy.

    + Prepare special reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends.

    + Contribute to team efforts by performing other duties within the Solutions Group, as needed.

    Minimum Requirements

    + Extensive knowledge of sign construction, materials, and installation methods.

    + Extensive knowledge of large format printing, materials, and installation methods

    + Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft 365 programs.

    + Experience with companywide software systems.

    + Ability to multi-task and work in fast paced environment.

    + Well organized with excellent time management skills.

    + Demonstrate strong attention to detail to both the designs and the related costs.

    + Ability to interface with fabrication managers and the individual project managers.
