    New hire experience:

    1% of the base hourly rate granted for each year of verified like experience (within ten years) beyond the requirement, up to a ten-year maximum

    New hire education:

    1% of the base hourly rate awarded for an AA or higher degree if not required for the position

    OVERVIEW:

    To meet district and DPS safety standards on school buses through repair or replacement of damaged vinyl seats and seatbelts; to replace glass in windows and doors; to remove graffiti in district school buses.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    High School education or equivalent is preferred
    Minimum two years upholstery experience
    Minimum two years upholstery experience
    Knowledge of materials, fabric and vinyl
    Knowledge of various tools and machines of the trade
    Ability to cut and to replace safety glass in school buses
    Ability to prioritize workload and work with minimum supervision
    Valid Arizona driver’s license
    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Repair or replace bus seat vinyl and seatbelts; repair harnesses in district school buses
    Remove graffiti from buses
    Replace broken safety glass on school buses; replace window latches, sun shades/visors or mirrors on district buses
    Replace backrest and cushion covers; cut and sew as needed
    Replace back foams and repair backrest frames
    Monitor inventory and request supplies as needed
