U-Haul’s Building Management is currently seeking a well-rounded Maintenance Technician to join our fast-paced team at Midtown Campus. A Maintenance Technician is a thorough professional with a practical mind and attention to detail. The goal is to maintain the building & common areas to the best possible condition. About the maintenance technician position at Palm Crest at Station 40:
We’re looking for a talented maintenance technician who will be responsible for addressing an array of apartment and property maintenance duties as specified by the maintenance supervisor and/or property manager, and for maintaining the highest standards in customer service and curb appeal of the assigned property.
+ Perform various maintenance functions including repairs to the following: electrical, plumbing, appliances, flooring, carpentry, HVAC, grounds maintenance as dictated by state guidelines.

Job Summary
Under limited supervision, Inspects, diagnoses, repairs, and performs emergency/preventive maintenance. Project general requirements include but are not limited to; maintenance and repair of freezer and refrigeration units, food service equipment, appliances, fitness equipment, HVAC equipment, testing and balancing, corrosion control, floor coverings, roof systems, painting, finishes, fences and gates, general facility maintenance. Determines replacement parts as needed. Inspect, clean, and maintain commercial kitchen hood and duct exhaust systems. Maintain, and repair the site's mechanical locks. Repair, maintain, fabricate, and install all base signage. Inspect fire extinguishers and make repair/replacement recommendations.

+ Must know and be able to apply the fundamentals of HVAC/R equipment and troubleshooting techniques, and environmental regulations for fuels, refrigerants, and hazardous materials.
+ May explain instructions and documentation to plan work activities.
+ Completes and reviews records, maintains tools and equipment, and performs various cleanup activities.

Additional general duties
+ Acts as Maximo and Hazardous Material (HAZMAT) and Hazardous Waste (HAZWASTE) key person.

Basic Qualifications

MEGASYS® is the branded name for EMD Electronics services offering where EMD Electronics technicians and engineers provide on-site gas and chemical/slurry management on an ongoing contractual basis. Technicians work on systems and maintain supply of chemicals and gases to a semiconductor manufacturing environment that makes the chips used in electronic devices.

MEGASYS® personnel are assigned on a full-time basis ranging from 7 day / 24-hour coverage to periodic service calls. The scope of supply includes services maintaining the operation, maintenance and repair of gas, chemical and planar distribution equipment; bulk liquid gases management, container handling (cylinder, drum, tote, etc.), inventory management, gas, and chemical blending equipment; chemical reprocessing, life safety systems, and first responder services.
