**Where You Will Work **
Our global headquarters is in Phoenix, Arizona. Several hundred employees support global operations in finance, human resources, information technology, planning and more from the main office, satellite offices or online. **Description**
Under general supervision, provides support for programs related to value chain sustainability frameworks globally. Tasks include project management, research, analysis, and development and execution of program materials to help meet corporate commitments while strengthening the program over time.
+ Support the external reporting of value chain sustainability issues in close collaboration with the ESG Relations & Sustainability departments. This includes peer reviews of reporting data, collecting, consolidating, analyzing, and reporting relevant data and metrics for the GSC RS program.
+ Research, develop, and deliver recommendations for suppliers as needed, based on due diligence profiles to align with corporate programs/directives and the Business Partner Code of Conduct. Coordinate with relationship owners within GSC to obtain relevant information, communicate recommendations, and ensure action items are completed timely.
+ Assist sites with the implementation of and continuing conformance to the responsible sourcing related ICMM, Copper Mark, and LPRM requirements. This includes completion of significant supplier desk reviews, local procurement reporting, suggested evidence and other documents, as needed to support audits and compliance deadlines.
+ Facilitate the due diligence process for new and existing business partners utilizing existing management systems and process to comply with organizational commitments and coordinate the completion of associated third-party reviews of suppliers when required.
+ Help build capacity with suppliers, GSC personnel, and internal customers by facilitating collaborations, fulfillment of action plans, and assisting with audits. Develop and deliver training and one-on-one support, answer questions on the company’s sustainability practices, and coordinate the completion of questionnaires, close-out of action items, etc.
+ Lead the Ariba risk monitoring process with daily reviews of supplier alerts, conducting additional research, and documenting results., Coordinate and facilitate meetings to discuss results and recommended next steps.
+ Develop and execute program materials (e.g., relevant SOPs, SharePoint site, significant supplier engagement requests, local supplier lists, etc.) to help meet corporate commitments while strengthening the program over time.
+ Conduct external monitoring, gathering benchmarking data on peers, competitors and other industries and monitoring external stakeholders and frameworks (e.g., OECD, Copper Mark, GRI, etc.) to identify areas of improvement and propose recommendations for program changes and development over time.
+ Perform other duties as required
**Qualifications**
Minimum Requirements:
+ High School Diploma/GED with at least six (6) years of experience working in Supply Chain, Sustainability or related area; OR
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Sustainability or related field (i.e. Accounting, International Development, Business, or related) and with at least two (2) years of experience working in Supply Chain or Sustainability or related area
+ Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with all levels of staff and management
+ Ability to work independently
+ Highly flexible and adaptable to change
+ Solid creativity, strategic thinking, and analytical problem solving
+ Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Ability to navigate, edit, synthesize, update, and organize large datasets.
+ Detail oriented
+ Ability to create professional presentations and documentation to meet audit standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Knowledge of concepts related to sustainable procurement or supply chain sustainability.
+ Knowledge of relevant Sustainability topics (i.e. OECD, UN SDGs, UN Global Compact, Human Rights, etc.)
+ Knowledge of supply chain policies and procedures, management strategies and concepts
+ Knowledge of audit and investigation procedures
+ Prior use of SAP, Ariba SLP and Ariba Supplier Risk Management system

**What We Offer You**
The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently **$72,000-$98,000.** This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. The purpose of the Product Sustainability Specialist role is to support US Foods’ Products sustainability program performance and reporting by managing and maintaining necessary procedures and certification schemes associated with the Company’s Hungry For Better programs and commodity standards.
**This position has been segmented as 100% Remote Anywhere meaning the work is completed 100% remote anywhere in the U.S. except Hawaii or United States Territories.**
**Responsibilities:**
+ Manage and execute auditing and other responsibilities required to maintain US Foods’ current, and any future, product third-party certifications or product claims, such as interpreting certification standards, submitting vendor or service provider invoices for payment and ensuring up to date licensing/trademark agreements. This includes managing group controls, internal audits and other responsibilities necessary to maintain the Company’s Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) Chain of Custody certificate.
+ Collaborate closely with US Foods’ Product Development and Innovation, FSQA and other teams to communicate standards and requirements associated with third-party certification, including providing timely updates if and as those requirements change, and identify and communicate opportunities for further engagement with or benefit from third-party certifying bodies.
+ Maintain, communicate to US Foods stakeholders and execute standardized procedures and cadences for collecting, reviewing and maintaining the integrity and accuracy of Products sustainability-related data, such as related to the Company’s Hungry For Better program, responsibly sourced palm oil and responsibly sourced seafood, and provide regular performance updates to Sustainability leadership.
+ Engage with third-party partners and with suppliers, as directed, to collect information and data necessary to support US Foods’ Products sustainability programs and standards.
+ Utilize internal and externally-hosted data platforms and tracking systems to maintain Products sustainability-related data and information.

**Relationships:**
+ **Internal:** Products sustainability data-related responsibilities will require cross-functional collaboration across US Foods’ Sustainability/ESG, Product Development and Innovation, FSQA, Legal/Regulatory, Category Management and other departments.
+ **External:** External engagement will be required, including but not limited to engaging with third-party product certifiers, third-party partners and select US Foods suppliers related to sourcing standards, certifications and/or claims and other product attributes.
**Minimum Qualifications:**
+ Minimum 2 years of experience in a relevant role, preferably including data management.
+ Detail-oriented, have excellent data management skills and be proficient in Microsoft Excel.
+ Willingness to travel up to 10% of time.
**Education:**
+ Bachelor’s degree, preferably in the environmental sciences, business administration or a related field.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Proficiency in full suite of Microsoft Office applications and/or other data visualization tools.

**Universal Pay Verbiage:**
Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The expected base rate for this role is between $50,000 and $90,000.
This role will also receive an annual incentive plan bonus.
