    Job description

    Laser Components Detector Group, Inc. is looking for an experienced Semiconductor Wafer Process Operator WITH MANUAL WAFER PROCESSING EXPERIENCE for our manufacturing Fab in Chandler, AZ. Hours are M-F 6am-230pm. Local candidates only as relocation is not paid for this position. The individual will be part of a dynamic team building high performance avalanche photodiodes (APDs) and PINs, high speed receivers, linear arrays, TEC-cooled photoconductors, and pyroelectric detectors. In a state-of-the-art production facility, our devices are processed with different materials including, silicon, InGaAs, lead salts, and pyroelectric materials.

    Job Responsibilities:

    HANDS-ON MANUAL wafer processing skills such as working with chemicals, chemical processes, diffusion, oxidation, dry etching, wet cleans, metal sputtering and evaporation, thin film vacuum deposition on wafers, wafer cleaning in solvent baths, and Photolithography
    Working daily in a Fab or cleanroom processing wafers in a hands-on fashion
    Experience running manual vacuum deposition equipment to perform these processing tasks in a cleanroom environment
    Able to interpret basic product specs and schematics, as well as follow verbal and written instructions.
    Working with Engineering on developing new wafer processes

    Required Skills and Qualifications:

    We are NOT an AUTOMATED FAB. All our wafer processing steps are MANUAL. Therefore at least 15 years MANUAL WAFER PROCESSING EXPERIENCE IS A MUST! As a semiconductor wafer processing operator, you will work with equipment such as as photolithography aligners and resist coaters, diffusion furnaces, dry etchers DRIE, metal deposition and sputter tools, thin film (Nitrides, Oxides) vacuum deposition
    Familiarity with troubleshooting semiconductor manufacturing equipment
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills including computer skills
    Associates degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Physics, etc preferred
