As an FAA Machinist Level 5 here at Honeywell, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our machining processes run efficiently, safely, and in accordance with quality standards, while optimizing production schedules. You will lead a team of skilled technicians and collaborate with other departments to meet production goals and customer requirements. Demonstrates knowledge of the working properties of common metals. Selects standard materials, parts, and equipment required for this work; and fitting and assembling parts into mechanical equipment and machines; and making all necessary adjustments to complete repairs. Programs mills and lathes by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches; calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving part programs; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies. Provides iterative feedback to customers. Shares work progress and information with fellow machinists. Performs other duties as required to complete the assigned mission. This position is covered under the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Qualifications

Pay Rate: $32.86Education/Licenses/Certifications/Experience Requirements:* Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.* Must have one of the following, Machinist Technical school degree/certificate and 2 years’ experience as a machine shop equipment operator or applicable military training and 2 years' experience as a machine shop equipment operator, or 4 years’ experience working in a machine shop environment with CNC machines. Job Skills Requirements: * Must have the ability and understanding to read blueprints and interpret complex multi-view drawings.* Must have experience operating manual and CNC mills and lathes.* Must have work experience operating and using precision measuring instruments common to the trade.
