Team Overview
Our Marketing Communications team is dedicated to advancing ADF’s mission through strategic, creative digital content. As a collaborative team, we craft compelling messaging across platforms. The Web Designer plays a key role, focusing on website development, digital marketing, and creating visually impactful content that enhances user experience and supports our initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
+ Web Design & Development: Design webpages that engage target audiences, drive website traffic, and provide an optimal user experience. Collaborate with teammates to create visual aspects of landing pages and campaign microsites, including design, layout, HTML/CSS creation, and interactive feature development.
+ Collaboration & Problem-Solving: Partner with internal clients to gather requirements, provide creative input, and solve design challenges. Work closely with the internal software development team or external vendors to ensure seamless integration of design, layout, and functionality.
+ Content Management & Consistency: Manage schedules and update static copy to ensure consistency with the Resources and Brand & Style guide.
+ Testing & Optimization: Test and improve website usability and performance, using web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) to ensure effectiveness.
+ Technical Skills: Utilize expertise in CSS, HTML, JavaScript, SQL, and content management systems (CMS) to build interactive and dynamic applications. Use Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver) for design tasks.
Minimum Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Political Science or related field.
+ 4+ years experience in front-end web development, web-based design and publishing.
+ 4+ years experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/JQuery.
+ Experience with responsive design and digital optimization techniques.
+ Experience executing complex email campaigns through a major email service provider.
