    + Assist in the development, editing, and approval process for deliverables to Congress and senior DoD leadership including, but not limited to, presentations, memoranda, position papers, white papers, and reports on topics related to health or medical research.

    + Perform final reviews and edit documents for grammar, formatting, and general compliance with DHA and DoD writing style guidance and correspondence requirements.

    + Produce explanation of edits by citing appropriate style guide(s), where necessary.

    + Coordinate with R&E leadership and other stakeholders to incorporate edits.

    + Coordinate with R&E Action Officers responsible for developing reports, briefings, and other deliverables to review requirements, establish timelines, and identify milestones.

    + Develop supporting documents required for formal coordination of interim and final reports to Congress.

    + Conduct literature reviews and other online research to fact check and support document content, as needed.

    + Monitor the quality and timely production of documents developed within R&E in response to congressional mandates, congressional committee requests, or senior DHA and DoD leadership direction.

    + Review and advise CTMO Government Lead on DHA policies and procedures pertaining to correspondence; suggest revisions to proposed or existing DHA policies submitted to R&E for formal review and input.

    + Review and revise CTMO standard operating procedures, as needed.

    + Other duties as assigned.

    **Qualifications**

    + Currently enrolled at an accredited college or university pursuing a bachelors degree or higher - Must be a U.S. Citizen or a Permanent Resident - Completed coursework or pursuing or a degree in the area(s) related to the internship

    + Clearance Required: Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance

    + Ability to communicate directly with peers, managers, and clients.

    + Strong analytical, communication, and writing skills with attention to detail.

    The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process.
