**WHAT YOU'LL DO:**
**Here's what you can expect on a typical day:**
+ Create/edit/manage content for assigned business units across the enterprise.
+ Use knowledge management key metrics to drive improvements in content presentation to associates.
+ Assess and align business content to enterprise content model.
+ Conduct detailed analysis of user content needs, develop requirements, and estimates for deliverables, partnering with product owners and other stakeholders in the process.
+ Apply enterprise content strategy and principles to develop concise, consistent, high value content deliverables.
+ Partner with Subject Matter Experts to obtain information and content validation.
+ Develop content deliverables in the enterprise content management application.
+ Report progress of content deliverables to stakeholders and adhere to timelines.
+ Demonstrate domain, tool, and authoring expertise and can provide informal mentoring to colleagues.
+ Demonstrate authoring expertise and provide informal mentoring to colleagues when need arises.
+ Collaborate with content owners to validate knowledge and foster content reuse.
+ Able to support multiple BU partners while working on deliverables.

**TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:**
+ You'll have a Bachelor's degree OR equivalent.
+ 3+ years of experience in knowledge management/content development/technical writing
+ Must have strong knowledge of **DITA, Ixiasoft, XML, and component content management systems a plus**
+ Understanding of knowledge/content management best practices and content lifecycle management
+ Understanding of knowledge management systems, search engine optimization (SEO) and taxonomy
+ Strong knowledge in structured based authoring and information typing
+ Familiarity with one or more of the industry standard style guides **_(The Chicago Manual of Style, Associated Press Stylebook, The Elements of Style)_**
+ Ability to manage content deliverable schedules
+ Strong communication & collaboration skills
