**Roles and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:**

Starts at $18.50, plus overnight compensation (shifts are 7 pm – 7 am (3) 12-hour shifts)

The primary role of a Hyatt Security Officer is to provide for the safety and security of the hotel’s guests and employees. Officers will adhere to established standards in the performance of their duties.

Security Officers shall:

· Enforce rules and policies with respect and professionalism.

· Resolve conflicts with the use of de-escalation techniques.

· Analyze situations accurately and implement an effective course of action.

· Clearly communicate incident details with management.

· Create accurate incident/accident reports as necessary.

· Identify and investigate suspicious behavior and irregular activity.

· Conduct Foot Patrols of designated areas.

· Respond to alarms and requests for assistance.

· Respond to medical emergencies, render aid, and relay information to EMS.

· Utilize CCTV systems for investigations and surveillance.

· Other duties as assigned by the Director of Security.

Responsibilities Job Summary The Security Officer patrols designated HonorHealth properties, screens visitors, and performs other activities related to the safety and security of staff, patients, and visitors. Some activities can involve elements of danger or risk of injury and restraining patients. Protects HonorHealth property against theft, fire, vandalism, or other illegal, unsafe, or unauthorized activities. Ability to convey information clearly and accurately, while maintaining a keen awareness of safety protocols and security measures to ensure a safe and secure environment for all. Responsible for ensuring a safe and secure hospital campus. Patrols assigned areas, checking for suspicious activity or safety/fire hazards. Investigates and/or reports hazards, unusual or suspicious circumstances to the appropriate leadership personnel. Checks doors and windows of buildings to ensure they are tightly closed and locked; notes in written log any unlocked doors/windows; submits information to supervisor and/or manager. Escorts people/property to desired destination when monies, documents or safety of property or persons are a concern. Responds to alarms and dispatched calls and takes appropriate actions. Unlocks buildings/doors after checking identification and compliance with hospital policies. Enforce organizational policies. (i.e. parking, smoking, badge compliance) Provides training to staff as needed. Responsible for assisting in emergency situations. Acts as first responder to disturbances/emergencies such as infant abduction alarms, fire alarms, panic alarms, intruder alarms, restraint calls anywhere in hospital or on hospital grounds. Must respond to urgent security calls immediately, which may require rapid stair climbing, running/sprinting, moving of heavy equipment and other associated tasks. In the event of emergencies, must take charge of maintaining order, safety and to protect personnel and property. Some activities can involve interacting with and controlling hostile, belligerent, aggressive individuals involving some element of danger or risk of injury. Subdues resisting, aggressive, combative and distressed individuals and when ordered by proper medical authority and in compliance with hospital policy/procedure the application of appropriate restraint equipment to prevent injury to individual or others. This activity can involve some element of danger and/or risk of injury. May assist law enforcement officers and security leadership with protection details, crowd control, and surveillance at large public events. May assist in providing security for mass casualty events including setting up Decon equipment Responsible for investigating and/or documenting incidents. Documents policy violations in citations or emails. Maintains a daily log of activities. Provides and relays information as directed Responsible for completing required training and annual in-services. Participates in security department training and continuing education programs including, but not limited to Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Techniques, Self Defense Tactics & Techniques leading to certification in the use of specialized equipment Represents HonorHealth as a brand ambassador for the company. This position is responsible for the safety and security of the facilities they protect. Our Critical Facility Officers allow us to accomplish our company’s core purpose which is “to service, secure and care for the people and businesses in our communities.” Critical Facility Security Officers act as a visible deterrent to crime and client rule infractions; they detect and report suspicious, unsafe or criminal acts at or near their assigned posts which may be a threat to the property, clients, guests or employees at the site.

**RESPONSIBILITIES:**

+ Ensure the facility is provided with high quality security services to protect people and property.

+ Maintains proficiency in the use of all assigned protective equipment, restraint devices and weapons.

+ Report safety concern, security breaches and unusual circumstances both verbally and in writing.

+ Preserves order and acts to enforce regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors and premises.

+ Monitors closed circuit television systems and alarms; Reports safety concerns, security breaches and unusual circumstances both verbally and in writing.

+ Maintains awareness and familiarity with the site-specific operations performance manual and post orders.

+ Meets and continues to meet any applicable state, county and municipal licensing and permit requirements for Armed Security Officers and specific protective device and weapons qualifications.

**RESPONSIBILITIES** **:**

+ Administer first aid treatment and other emergency care to sick or injured persons and assist with facilitating the transport to medical facilities.

+ Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities

+ Respond to emergency calls from a dispatcher such as requests for medical assistance following emergency response proceedings

+ Provide emergency medical care and other treatment pursuant to EMT certification

+ Determine the nature and extent of illness and injury

+ Report all medical incidents, accidents or emergencies to include completing a Daily Activity Log on every shift, describing all activities.

+ Complete an Incident Report documenting any medical response calls on client property

+ Establish priorities in order to determine procedures to be followed for emergency first aid or assistance; request additional help, including special rescue and utility services

+ Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

**QUALIFICATIONS:**

+ Minimum 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience

+ Possess and maintain a State Certified EMT Basic, Intermediate, or Paramedic license

+ Current Health Care Provider or Professional Rescuer CPR card
