Basic Function

Responsible for the on-site physical installation, functional testing, and quality inspection of surgical light suspensions, surgical booms, video integration systems, and other ancillary equipment (room cameras, video monitors, video signals, etc.). Integration Specialists deploy cutting edge technology in various healthcare environments including ER, OR, ICU, Trauma, Cath Labs, hybrid ORs, and surgery centers. As an Integration Specialist you would be responsible for delivering a world-class customer experience by installing integrated audio–visual, mechanical and network systems of various configurations to deliver individualized solutions for caregivers. Our integration specialists partners with internal teams including sales, project engineering, project management, field service and external teams including electricians, plumbers, general contractors and perioperative hospital staff. Integration Specialists represent Stryker in day-to-day customer interactions through detailed communication and documentation of project timelines, pre-installation requirements, equipment delivery, installation progress, and room turnover.

Responsibilities

+ Confirms site readiness of pre-installation requirements and infrastructure and performs detailed product inventory of installable equipment. Communicates issues to internal project team and follows up for resolution.

+ Responsible for the installation of all surgical light suspension systems, surgical booms, video integration systems and associated cabling to deliver appropriate video signals as well as installation of ancillary equipment (room cameras, video monitors, etc.)in accordance with quality and safety standards as well as state, industry, and international standards

+ Programs, tests, and inspects all video integration sources according to design specifications and in accordance with quality and safety standards.

+ Able to troubleshoot and determine root cause of failures of installable equipment. Performs diagnoses and repairs of equipment according to established quality guidelines and procedures. Tests equipment to ensure proper operation and quality output.

+ Documents & Maintainsaccurate records of equipment installation and associated activities. Completes daily update reports and other administrative responsibilities in a timely and accurate manner. Provides project updates to relevant stakeholders. Coordinates with Quality to ensure compliance with regulatory and operational requirements.

+ Able to interpret, understand, and install equipment according to complex wire diagrams and CAD drawings.

+ Able to understand infrastructure, electrical, and network requirements of installable equipment. Coordinates with internal project team to communicate these expectations with customers and contractors and coordinates requisite support.

+ Able to learn and understand basic Internet Protocol (IP) and computer networking requirements as related to Stryker integration products.

+ Able to understand and implement identical installation and integration practices at different locations in order to ensure consistency and serviceability.

+ Coordinates and books travel arrangements for self, based on job location and in accordance with company guidance.

+ Manage daily schedule to ensure timely arrival and completion of all Installation activities.

+ Maintains project stakeholder relationships, communicates progress updates, and provides basic operational training to customers as needed.

+ Manages and maintains inventory of assigned tools and equipment.

+ Responds to internal and external customers' inquiries and requests for service.

+ Communicates with customers regarding the status of their project and provides clear and timely updates on project progress. Effectively builds relationships with internal and external business partners to provide outstanding customer service experience.

+ Communicates lessons learned and provide feedback to cross-functional partners to improve business processes.

+ Adheres to all safety policies and standards as dictated by customer facilities and by Stryker.

+ Completes training to ensure proper PPE is utilized during execution of job responsibilities.

+ Advocates the importance of safe work practices.

+ Must be able to travel up to 95% of the time, to and from the job site as specified by manager/supervisor.

+ Utilizes the following software applications in execution of job responsibilities: Salesforce, Agile, Workday, Concur, Compliance Wire.

Physical Requirements

+ Heavy work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.

Education/Training Required

What part will you play?

The Senior Installation Technician is responsible for performing a wide variety of installation duties on technology projects for our clients. This position is the key field position for the bulk of the actual work that gets done in our clients’ buildings. The install tech needs to coordinate with project management, field superintendents and others to fully understand their role on specific projects. They interpret our drawing packages to create the basis of the finished systems. This installation can include displays, projectors, loudspeakers, microphones, equipment racks, etc. The Senior Tech will be responsible for our most complex system designs, will mentor other technicians and set the example in all aspects of the job.

NOTE: this position supports a major client program, requiring 100% national travel to various customer sites. As such, it’s not tied to a specific Diversified office; the candidate can be based in any of the US 48 states.

What will you be doing?

+ Possess all skills from Install Tech and Associate Fabrication Tech job descriptions

+ Leads and delegates tasks to install crews, subcontractors, and union trades. May be required to regularly lead a team on large projects

+ Verifies all work complies with Diversified’s and clients QC standards. Oversee field operations in situations without a dedicated on-site superintendent

+ Physical installation of a wide variety of technology into a wide variety of locations

+ Execute a variety of cabling terminations for wire and connector types including verifying crew terminations to our standards

+ Support the preparation of equipment racks for staging of equipment wire lacing including installation of power strips, grounding bars, jack-fields, etc.

+ Able to read and understand functional design drawings and cable riser diagrams

+ Able to perform mounting of base build equipment such as monitor mounts, ceiling speakers, microphones and projectors

+ Provide a consistent level of technical performance as well as flexibility in work schedule. This position requires periodic overtime and may require overtime and weekend work for extended periods to meet client deadlines

+ Able to complete assignments in accordance with or better than established task durations as well as estimate task durations to meet assigned deadlines. Provides daily feedback to field site supervisor and/or direct manager

+ Able to build and wire custom panels from engineering drawings

+ Advanced Fiber optic cable handling, installation termination, repair and testing.

+ Generate cable labels and manage all wire listing activities for cable labels per our standards

+ Responsible for tracking and maintaining their toolkit, company vehicles and installation materials inventories. Keep clean, orderly and well documented. Maintain an on-site job box when applicable

+ Responsible for checking in drop shipped items and maintaining on-site materials needed by the crew. Working with the PM to assure timely delivery of on-site equipment and materials

+ Responsible for tracking and maintaining their personal licenses, certifications and qualifications. (Some states have specific requirement in this area)

+ Maintain daily record of time worked on specific projects for timesheet entry as well as an employee/contractor information log to share with management.

Complexity:

This level of technician will be responsible for performing tasks on clients’ job sites with no supervision. This position is responsible for the coordination with clients, contractors and subcontractors. This position will be the key and only senior field supervisor in many situations and will be responsible for delegating work, monitoring others work and communicating with key stakeholders on behalf of the PM. This position requires the highest level of technical and people skills.

Decision Making Authority:

This position is often alone on the job sites and requires making good judgement about decisions that need to be made. In general, the project manager and a site supervisor are available to answer questions. This position is independent and will need to make onsite decisions on behalf of the PM. This position requires good diplomacy in working with our clients and other key stakeholders on the job sites.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that may be met by an employee. The employee may be exposed to construction site conditions on a regular basis. Employee will be responsible for their safety while on job sites and to comply with all safety regulations in place by the GC. Use of PPE is usually required on job sites. The employee can typically spend at least 50% of their time on their feet and be required to mobile around the construction site. The employee must have the ability to occasionally climb ladders, use stairs and lift and/or move materials up to 40 pounds in construction areas. The individual is regularly required to use keyboards, test equipment and controls required for SI installation projects. Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth vision. When not on construction sites, the employee will experience normal office conditions and be required to use office equipment such as computers, peripherals, etc.

Travel:

This position involves 100% national travel in support of a major client program. Travel expenses will be covered per Diversified’ s Travel & Expense Policy. Employee must possess a valid driver’s license in their state of residence. Under certain circumstances, employee may be required to use their own vehicle and will be reimbursed for mileage at the current corporate rate.

Safety:

+ Maintain and wear appropriate PPE as the job and tasks require it.

+ Ensure hazards are addressed and rectified in a timely manner.

What do we require from you?

Education/Certifications:

+ High school or GED equal. Associates/Bachelor's degree required and/or equivalent experience

+ Experienced with LED Video Walls and Builds (Planar, Samsung) Preferred

+ 5 or more years as an installation technician or related industry experience

+ Experienced with leading or managing a team or project required.

+ AVIXA CTS Certification is preferred, AVIXA CTS-I Certification is highly desired

+ Must have a valid driver’s license and adhere to our insurance requirements

+ OSHA 30 Certificate preferred.

Required/Desired Knowledge, Experience and Skills:

+ Familiarity with a wide range of audio, video and networking equipment

The role of Telecommunications Specialist has the core responsibility of acquiring and processing orders for telecommunications circuits, creating PR/POs with Finance for new services, and ensuring that all invoices are processed through Finance within agreed Service Level Agreement (SLA) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). This role works with carriers to obtain quotes and processes carrier Sales Order through Legal processes. This role also ensures that all invoice validations are performed so that invoiced circuits fall under the correct carrier billing accounts, and all exceptions are researched and resolved. This role is also responsible for proactively reaching out to carriers and clients to resolve invoice approval outstanding issues and avoid late payments This role is responsible for communicating any issues to through the relevant channels relating to invoice approvals, validations or missing invoices.

**What you'll be doing**

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**

+ Works with carriers to obtain quotes for telecom circuits and processes Sales Orders through Legal for signature and return to carrier.

+ Creates Purchase Request to Finance for ordered services and updates documentation with PO; updates invoices so POs show up properly in invoices.

+ Subject matter expert who encourages a streamlined workflow and possesses an end-to-end process knowledge of FLA, validations, dispute management, bill pay process, client/carrier interactions, late payment and missing invoice analysis, process exceptions and controls

+ Ensures that all invoices are being processed through FLA and validations to meet SLAs and KPIs

+ Keeps management updated of potential ordering, PR/PO, or invoice processing issues Responsible for proactively reaching out to carriers and internal organizations to resolve issues.

+ Manages POs fund amounts so that POs can be refunded or reissued on a timely manner according to standard business procedures.

+ Assists with client or vendor escalations

+ Identifies any IT related issues and communicate them effectively via logging an ITSM ticket

+ Provides invoice management services to assigned clients serving as liaison to the client by providing overall accountability and acting in the client’s interest to manage telecommunications cost allocation and invoice exception management

+ Performs standard invoice validation checks, documenting and resolving exceptions following the appropriate handling procedures

+ Ensures that services are billed to proper legal entity names and resolves errors with the carriers (applies to US clients only)

+ Validates that all invoices are received when expected and escalates and resolves late/missing invoices to the carrier. This function may also result in reporting accrued items to the client

+ Identifies missing payments from previous invoices and interfaces with telecommunications provider to resolve missing payment/cash application errors

+ Interfaces with client’s telecommunications service providers (carriers) to resolve exceptions and ensures that invoices are re-issued correctly or that credits are validated on client’s invoices in accordance with exception management and client’s business rules

These technicians will need to have a good understanding of Cat5 cabling. They also need to have a good understanding of low voltage. The technicians need to be comfortable with heights, climbing ladders and getting into aerial lifts. Must be able to carry up to 40 pounds on site. The techs need to have reliable transportation and carry themselves professionally. Candidates will need to have their OSHA 10 certification.

The technicians will be pulling cable primarily; fiber and cat5. There will be a lot of OSP work as well. This job will be very hands on labor. The technicians won't be terminating/testing right out of the gates. But they will work towards this as they prove themselves on site. Client provides their own training when getting hired on. They will have a week of training before they go on site. They will show them everything they will need to know before getting on site.

The typical shift will be 10 hour days, 6a-430p, Monday through Friday. They can get up to 60 hour weeks, which would include working over the weekends.

This team will primarily support a network installation within a high-profile data center construction site. Work demands are fast-paced and high-volume, build quality standards are best-in-class exposing technicians to excellent standards and procedures within the industry. Expect to support other scope of work as well based on project changes and demand, which may include; OSP, IDF/MDF, LSS, Security, Fiber installation Job Duties and Responsibilities: - Install a work area outlet for floor, modular furniture and wall (terminate CAT 3 & CAT 5 jacks. Mount face plates and surface mount boxes correctly. Adhere to IES COMMERCIAL labeling standards). - Build closets (Mount and install backboards, cross connects, racks, patch panels, fiber optic and hardware). Install grounding for racks, equipment and cable as required. **Overview**

Responsible for the installation, test, and balance energy management systems as they pertain to the installation of controls for refrigeration systems, HVAC-R , and lighting in a grocery store and/or cold storage distribution format. Repair, test, adjust, or install electronic equipment, such as industrial controls, transmitters, and antennas.
