    The Machinist II will perform machining tasks (Grinding, Turning, Milling) to tight tolerance, minimize scrap and rework, perform PMs on a regular basis, lead machine safety and workplace compliance requirements, maintain an inventory of tooling and fixtures, work effectively with vendors in ordering and acquiring tooling.

    This role is based at our facility in Tucson, AZ and is for 2nd shift - work hours, 1:00pm - 9:30pm (Mon. - Fri.)

    We are offering a $2,000 Sign-on Bonus (paid after completing 30 days of employment).

    You will have the opportunity to :

    + Operate multiple CNC and conventional machines and/or equipment

    + Evaluate equipment needs and ensure suitable replacement parts are available

    + Make process suggestions for programming new and existing product

    + Prioritize production orders or processing requirements and respond accordingly

    + Setup, run, inspect, clean orders, as needed

    + Train other employees on proper equipment operation and/or setup

    REQUIREMENTS :

    + HS Diploma or GED

    + NIMS/Journeyman/Trade School Certification preferred

    + 4 or more years of experience with CNC and Conventional machines and equipment

    + Knowledge of product quality concepts, ISO principles, and GD&T

    + Intermediate computer skills, including SAP or similar ERP systems and MS Office

    + Working knowledge of Quality Assurance principles and Metrology

    + This position is approximately 60% running multiple machines and 40% setups and support of operators

    The selection of the person to be hired for this position is contingent on the candidate having export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology which comes under the licensing jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of State, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the U.S. Department of Commerce, Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
