This Systems Engineering position is for a Human Spaceflight Principal Systems Engineer (T03) on a Civil and Space Systems (CSS) program at Northrop Grumman located in Gilbert, AZ and Sterling, VA. + Provide support directly to Lead Systems Engineer and supports satellite integration and test activities
+ Develops and directs preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules
+ Coordinates integrated testing activities; reviews and evaluates test requirements to ensure compliance with policies and procedures
+ Respond to test anomalies and support generation of non-conformance reports; continuous follow-up coordination with test team, flight assurance, and customer develop root cause and corrective actions
+ Provide regular briefings directly to customer and Program leadership

**Basic Qualifications:**
+ Must be a US citizen with a B.S. in STEM - Science, Technology, Engineering, Math or related area and 5 years of experience; M.S. in STEM or related area and 3 years of experience; or a PhD in STEM or related area with systems engineering experience
+ Experience in spacecraft integration and test support and anomaly resolution
+ Experience developing spacecraft integration and test procedures
+ Participation in multidisciplinary teams including internal and customer stakeholders in the review of test anomalies and root cause and corrective action development
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Knowledge and/or experience of the LEOStar-3 architecture
+ Experience interfacing with electrical ground support equipment
+ Experience with spacecraft architecture development and requirements definition
+ Experience leading decomposition of program requirements from system-level down to component level, and generation of requirements with verification methods and criteria
+ Additional experience in any of the following areas is also desired: orbital mechanics, power systems modeling, avionics or digital electronics design, telecommunications design, risk analysis, or thermal design and analysis
+ Desired experience includes Requirements Management Tools such as DOORS/Cradle/CORE, and various analysis engineering tools, such as MATLAB, MATHCAD, and STK
+ Experience leading compilation and organization of verification evidence documentation for verification closures with delivery to customer
+ Experience with spacecraft launch or mission operations support
Salary Range: $95,300.00 - $142,900.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
