We are looking to hire **stone masons with commercial experience.** These are commercial projects located in the **Phoenix AZ area.** The pay range here is **$34-40** per hour based on experience. Most of our field employees are getting 40 to 45 hours per week. All applicants must have their own personal vehicle, and be ready to work hard outside for 40+ hours a week. + Understanding the properties and characteristics of different types of stone.

**Job Skills & Qualifications**

+ High school diploma.

+ Minimum 4 years' work experience as a mason.

+ Ability to stand for long periods.

+ Ability to lift heavy materials and work long hours.

Job Summary:

The Concrete Cutter performs skilled tasks related to the cutting, sawing, core drilling, and removal of concrete using specialized tools and equipment. This role requires experience in construction, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to mentor trainees while maintaining safety, efficiency, and quality standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Perform concrete demolition tasks including cutting, sawing, core drilling, and removing concrete using tools such as core drills, wall saws, flat saws, hand saws, ring saws, wire saws, and compressor tools.
* Inspect, maintain, and ensure the safe operation, cleanliness, and general maintenance of company equipment, including vehicles, diamond blades, flat saws, core drills, wall saws, jackhammers, and small tools.
* Utilize a tablet or phone app to accurately enter and track hours and daily job notes.
* Mentor and support trainees, providing guidance and instruction to enhance their skills and knowledge.
* Follow all safety protocols and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
* Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate tasks and meet project goals.
* Work in varying environmental conditions, including rain, cold, and heat, while maintaining productivity and adherence to safety standards.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

+ Repairs rough or defective areas within concrete surfaces, including the application of cementitious products such as cement, sand and other pigments

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Concrete Stringline Formsetter is responsible for the layout, installation, and quality control of stringline systems used for concrete placement.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensure proper site housekeeping and protection measures (e.g., safety caps on stakes, dust control logs, etc.)
Read and interpret plans and grades to accurately set stringline for concrete operations
Set, adjust, and maintain stringline for curb machines and other concrete equipment
Ensure stringline is set to correct elevation, alignment, and tension per project specifications
Use measuring tools, lasers, levels, and grade rods to verify accuracy
Double-check all stringline setups against plans to prevent misalignment or elevation errors
Inspect stringline during pours and make real-time adjustments as needed
Assist with ADA layout verification for ramps and flatwork elements
Perform additional tasks as assigned related to concrete layout, site preparation, or other field operations

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Minimum 2 years of experience working with stringline setup
Knowledge of curb, gutter, and flatwork installation methods

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Regularly works outdoors in varying weather conditions
Frequently stands, bends, kneels, and lifts heavy materials

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Concrete Laborer is responsible for supporting the concrete crews in completing various construction tasks. This position plays a key role in ensuring our projects are built on-time and ahead of schedule!

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Concrete Formsetter / Finisher is responsible for constructing high quality concrete curbs, gutters, sidewalk, flatwork, catch basins, structures, ramps and aprons.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Spread concrete to the specified depth using a concrete vibrator or hand tools
Level, smooth, and shape surfaces of freshly poured concrete, using straight edge and float or power screed
Responsible for setting the concrete forms, ensuring they have the correct depth and pitch
Finish concrete surfaces using power trowel, broom, or hand trowel
Remove rough or defective spots from concrete with abrasive stone or grinder and then create a textured or broomed finished surface
Mold expansion joints and edges using edging tools, jointers, and straightedge
Lift, carry, and hold construction materials, tools, and supplies
Clean tools, equipment, materials, and work areas
Work with buckets and pump truck to place concrete
Clean, inspect and perform routine maintenance of equipment and tools
Load and unload materials, machinery, and tools
Clean and prepare sites to eliminate possible hazards
Safely and efficiently operate and use associated tools and equipment
Perform additional job duties as assigned to support completion of project
Experience operating general site equipment

The Finish Blade Operator is a skilled position that is responsible for operating a self-propelled grade to spread and level dirt, gravel and stone to grade specifications in a safe manner and in accordance with OSHA safe practices. Projects are located throughout the Greater Phoenix Valley.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operate blade on roadway/civil projects using GPS and free hand
Make normal adjustments for obtaining proper depth, grade and finished cross section of material per plans
Safely and properly operate blade
Inspect, maintain, and operate designated heavy equipment
Responsible for coordinating production and scheduling the crew
Various types of construction equipment may also be operated including but not limited to Rollers, Loaders, Back Hoes, Track Hoes, Haul Trucks, Water Trucks, Etc
Utilize blade GPS functionality
Identifies and recommends solutions for production problems, as required
Assists with the assembly of work plans for major operations with the crew
Performs other related duties as assigned
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

At least 3+ years experience as a blade operator
General operator skills
Extensive knowledge of operating a CAT Motor Grader
Previous experience with grade control systems
Knowledge of finishing roadways
Ability to lift heavy objects 50+ lbs
Must have reliable transportation, as you will need to drive your vehicle
Required to pass pre-employment drug test
Ability to effectively communicate with customers and co-workers
Thorough understanding of materials, methods, and tools used in projects
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, cold temperatures, fumes, and exposure to dust and concrete
Must be able to lift, push, pull or carry objects, use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue and to effectively jump, sprint or throw an object
Requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multi-limb coordination
Must be able to quickly move arms and legs
Excellent stamina is required
Work in the construction area poses significantly greater risk due to moving construction equipment and active construction zones with trip and fall hazard

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Concrete Foreman supervises, schedules, and coordinates the work of concrete crews.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oversees the project/work site, ensuring safety standards are followed and quality work is being performed in a timely manner
Determines project requirements and procedures, and the required materials and workers, based on given project specifications
Performs daily walkthroughs of project/work site to confirm availability and use of proper materials and tools; recognizes and promptly addresses issues so that work can continue on schedule
Resolves problems and coordinates activities for the job through collaboration and communication with other management or technical staff and contractors
Conducts audits and quality assurance tests of work and safety matters
Oversees and adheres to budgets and schedules for projects
Conducts JHAs with PM/PE or General/Project Superintendent to ensure proper notification is given for inspections, surveys, and testing
Schedule equipment needs to complete upcoming tasks with General or Project Superintendents
Coordinate 3 week look ahead schedule with PM/PE and Superintendents
Conducts weekly Toolbox Talk meetings on site with crew members
Submits daily operations logs (JHA, toolbox talks, etc.)
Identifies and recommends solutions for production problems, as required
Tracks and records daily work quantities
Verifies and submits daily timecards from crew members
Assists with the assembly of work plans for major operations
Coordinate with all new hires, crew needs, disciplinary actions, and terminations with the General Superintendent
Schedule project material through DCS Dispatch on private work
Verify SWPP and dust control needs are addressed in designated work areas
Performs other related duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

7+ years experience of concrete construction work
Thorough understanding of curb, gutter, and sidewalk concrete construction and installation
Ability to read and understand MAG (Maricopa Association of Governments) specifications
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Ability to analyze situations and identify ways to improve efficiency
Strong interpersonal and management skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Thorough understanding of materials, methods, and tools used in projects
Ability to read blueprints and other reports outlining specifications
Strong leadership skills and ability to lead and motivate crew members
