    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The Concrete Formsetter / Finisher is responsible for constructing high quality concrete curbs, gutters, sidewalk, flatwork, catch basins, structures, ramps and aprons.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Spread concrete to the specified depth using a concrete vibrator or hand tools
    Level, smooth, and shape surfaces of freshly poured concrete, using straight edge and float or power screed
    Responsible for setting the concrete forms, ensuring they have the correct depth and pitch
    Finish concrete surfaces using power trowel, broom, or hand trowel
    Remove rough or defective spots from concrete with abrasive stone or grinder and then create a textured or broomed finished surface
    Mold expansion joints and edges using edging tools, jointers, and straightedge
    Lift, carry, and hold construction materials, tools, and supplies
    Clean tools, equipment, materials, and work areas
    Work with buckets and pump truck to place concrete
    Clean, inspect and perform routine maintenance of equipment and tools
    Load and unload materials, machinery, and tools
    Clean and prepare sites to eliminate possible hazards
    Safely and efficiently operate and use associated tools and equipment
    Perform additional job duties as assigned to support completion of project

    The Finish Blade Operator is a skilled position that is responsible for operating a self-propelled grade to spread and level dirt, gravel and stone to grade specifications in a safe manner and in accordance with OSHA safe practices. Projects are located throughout the Greater Phoenix Valley.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Operate blade on roadway/civil projects using GPS and free hand
    Make normal adjustments for obtaining proper depth, grade and finished cross section of material per plans
